hurt like hell—but he entered me like he was touching my soul. I was scared he’d explode through my diaphragm. You are one lucky girl.” The woman had a blissful smile on her face.

“We’re not lovers. We just met.”

“Well fuck the friends shit. You need to jump that horse and ride him like a rodeo.

If I wasn’t engaged and this my bachelorette girls night out, I would. Hell, I thought he was my present.”

After a few moments of girl talk and freshening makeup, Rene and the woman left the bathroom, laughing at their own private joke.

A large man stood at the end of the short hallway leaving the restrooms. He had a big smile that was directed at Rene. “Heya, sweetheart. I couldn’t help but notice you walking in with those two faggots. You looking for a real man?” Arrogance filled the air. As did the smell of a few too many pitchers of cheap beer.

The other woman piped in. “Bubba, how would you know they are fags??? Are you a fag expert? Been doing your research?”

“Shut up, bitch. I’m talking to this little lady here. Not the bar whore.”

“Fuck you, asshole.” Apparently unsure whether to kick him in the balls or slap his face, the redhead reached her arm back and had it grabbed by one of her girlfriends who saw the argument beginning.

“Come on, Rose, he’s not worth it.” Her friend tugged at her arm.

“You come with us!” she reached out for Rene’s hand and the man slapped it away.

“She’s staying right here for now.” His snarling smile was enough to make Rene ill.

“Who’s that over there? He’s waving at you?” Rene pointed her arm out, and the dumb lug turned to see Tommy waving to Rene. She saw her chance, ducking by the man and scooted to where Tommy was.

Turning away, Tommy didn’t see the big goon grabbing for his shoulder.

Riiiiip…

Rene turned back to see the man with a handful of Tommy’s new jacket in his massive paw. The man burst into laughter.

“Awwwww, pretty boy got a tear in his widdle coat?” He laughed aloud causing everyone to turn to look.

Tommy looked down. His body tensing to the shame the worthless slab of meat was testing him with. “Apologize,” he said quietly.

“WHAT? You’re kidding, right? For what? I tore your jacket, queer boy. Big fucking deal.”

“I have been looking for a jacket like this for almost a year. They don’t make this style anymore. It means a lot to me. If you would just apologize, I’ll leave.” His eyes began to lightly glow a magenta shade. His demeanor had become almost demonic. His glare was burning and anger radiated through him.

“Come on, Tommy, let’s just go.” Rene tried to move Tommy. She didn’t want him hurt.

“Yeah, listen to the little cunt. She needs someone to tint her hair.”

“Fuck you, asshole!” Rene was seriously pissed now.

Jared had finally pushed through the crowd and stood between the big bonehead and Tommy. The man was a little more intimidated by Jared’s size, but a bellyful of beer made him dumber than a rock.

“What’s this? You here to protect your little bitch boyfriend?” A bunch of the guys from around the bar were laughing with him as the crowd grew.

“Actually I’m trying to stop you from getting…well, killed.” Jared didn’t want to sound too silly by warning a six-foot-five-inch, three hundred pound musclehead about a five-foot-ten-inch blond man.
