Reunion with the Brat

By Ophelia Stephens

I got to enjoy college life for less than two months, before my family called me back home to attend a family reunion. Reunion might be quite a big word for a little gathering that only includes my uncles, aunts and their children. Plus, they do it every single year, so it’s not like we haven’t seen each other in a long time.

There are many things that I would rather have done this weekend instead of taking the long drive home, ultimately spending almost as much time driving as I am spending with my family. And bore myself to death while doing so.

I have very little in common with my uncles and aunts, and even less with my cousins. They are all younger than me except for one – and he was smart enough to come up with a good excuse for not showing up – and they all have interests that are very different to mine. Very childish and immature, mostly.

Needless to say that I have very little motivation to attend this ‘reunion’, at least when it comes to most of the guests who are participating. I mostly do it for my family’s sake, since they even paid for the ticket.

Admittedly though, there is one person who I am rather happy to see again after all this time. He might even have been the main driving force behind my decision to come home in the middle of the semester.

My stepfather, George, has been the man of my dreams since the first time I saw him when my mother introduced us to each other about three years ago.

They have been married a little over two years by now and I am still baffled at the fact that my mother could land a man like him. George is younger than her, though not by much. He is very tall and broad, while both me and my mom are rather petite and appear even smaller next to him. He is intimidating, not only because of his appearance, but also because of his deep voice and strict ways.

During my final year of High School, he has paid a lot more attention to me and my school work than my mother ever has, to make sure that I graduate with the average that – according to him – I deserve and that would get me into better colleges.

Of course, I hated it at first. But because I have had a crush on him since day one and also started to see success with my school work, which gave me a lot more satisfaction than anticipated – I started to actually like it. I liked how he took care of me, how he scolded me for bad behavior and bad grades and how he praised me when I succeeded.

Also, he is not only tall and broad, but very handsome overall. His short dark hair is starting to grey a little at the temples and he is sporting a three-day stubble that adds to his masculine and mature look.

He is so different to the boys I met at college, on so many levels. I hated the fact that I started college as a virgin, only because my standards appear too high for anybody who ever crossed my path at high school. And I had high hopes for college. More mature boys, trained and buff, but still smart, maybe even older – and less likely to act like idiots just to get a girl’s attention.

But the opposite appeared to be the case. It is frustrating as hell – especially because I cannot get George out of my head. This perfect, sexy man who is so close to me, yet impossible to reach.

I am insanely jealous of my mother and cannot understand how she can neglect a man like him the way she does. I know that she has lost interest in him quite a while ago. Because she told me.

“Sex,” she said. “Is all fun and nice when you’re young. But at my age, a relationship is built on a lot of other things that are more important than pure lust."

Unfortunately, George does not agree. They have had a lot of fights, especially during summer, shortly before I left for college. I was almost glad to finally get out of the house, even though I feel sorry for George and wish I could help him with his frustration.

Oh god, how much I wish, I could.

I tried to get him out of my head, but now that I am on my way home, seeing him again after almost two months, my heart is racing with excitement. If anything, my crush on him has grown stronger, now that he not only wins any comparison with high school classmates, but even against college boys.

At first it appears as if no one is around when I finally reach my family’s home. I still have the keys and unlock the door by myself after no one answered the door bell or my knocking.

I arrived almost an hour earlier than I had told my mother I would. So it makes sense that no one seems to be expecting me. They might have gone out for some

last minute shopping.

“Hello?” I yell as I slip through the door. “Is anybody home?”

No answer.

I turn left and right, checking the living room and the kitchen downstairs. All rooms are completely empty.

I shrug and decide to bring my luggage upstairs to my room. My steps are weirdly loud on our creaky stairs. My mother has nagged George for months to do something about the noise, but – like me – he seems to think that there are more important things in life that need his attention.

It is quiet on the second floor as well, so I naturally assume that I really am alone in the house.

Until I open the door to my room and I see George sitting on my desk chair – with his pants down and his hard cock in his hand.
