“Do you need help?” Xavier asks from right outside the glass door. I’m grateful for the steam that fogs the glass keeping him from seeing me clearly.

“No, thank you. I’m okay now.” I think I hear him growl.

“I’m going to go get something for you to put on.” He says, and I hear his footsteps as he crosses the tile floor going back to the bedroom.

Scrubbing the water out of my eyes, I look around, my eyes landing on the colorful bottles lining the shelf. He kept my shampoo and other bath items. I’m not sure why that surprises me, but it does. Quickly I wash myself from top to bottom, making sure to keep my eyes averted from the water that comes off of me. On a whim I grab my razor and awkwardly shave my legs, I can’t remember the last time I did that, once my belly started getting big it was easier to skip that step.

I shut the water off and step out of the stall expecting Xavier to be there waiting for me. I see that, not only are there fluffy towels in easy reach, but he has set one of his shirts on the counter with a pair of my panties. I quickly dry off and get dressed, buttoning up his shirt and rolling the long sleeves up to uncover my hands.

X isn't in the bedroom, so I tiptoe down the hall following the sound of his voice. He's in his office talking on the phone.

“Yeah, that's good, Blake. Why don't we all reconvene here early tomorrow morning? I will have breakfast brought up. I have a business proposal for you and Travis.” Just as quietly, I tiptoe away, leaving him to finish his call. I'm sure what happened today is going to require damage control, and I don't want to interrupt or overstep the boundaries of whatever our relationship is.

Climbing into the bed that I know I will share with him from now on, I snuggle into the pillows that smell like him and sigh deeply. I’ve missed his clean, earthy scent. I'm going to have to make some calls myself, but tomorrow will be soon enough for that. I need to see a doctor as soon as I can about the baby, and I want to check on my friend Ellie. She has probably been so worried since I disappeared.

I end my call with Blake and stop in the kitchen to fix a plate for Ana. I thought I heard her moving around out here, but I never saw her. She must have gone back to the bedroom. I'm worried about how long she threw up. That can’t be normal, not that I know much about pregnant women. She will need a new doctor now that she is hom

e anyway. While it’s on my mind, I make a couple calls, arranging for her to see a midwife tomorrow afternoon after I take her for the ultrasound the office recommended.

I'm not surprised to find her cuddled in our bed napping, she's had a couple of very bad days, and I still don't know anything about the months that she's been gone. What I do know is that she is too thin, especially considering that she is having my baby. After returning the food to the kitchen, I strip off my clothes to take a quick shower before I pull on some loose shorts and slip beneath the covers. Pulling her soft, sleep-warmed body against mine, I take my first relaxing breath in months. Not sleeping well, coupled with the anxiety of the last few days have left me exhausted too. With her in my arms, I quickly become drowsy and drift off with a smile on my face.

I wake up hours later, the sweet heat of my wife's body nestled against me like a little spoon. One full breast fills my palm, the other is cupped over the tight flesh of her bare belly. Her hair is a soft, fragrant halo around her, though I still hate the drab color she dyed it. Pulling her closer, I inhale deeply. Her sweet smell inundates my senses. I groan softly into the fragrant skin at the nape of her neck as blood rushes to my cock. I’m instantly hard as steel.

The softest whisper of a sigh escapes her mouth as she wiggles around in my embrace, displacing my hands until we are nose to nose. Her small hand strokes up my chest, fingers ghosting over my already tight nipples until the tips of them caress my cheek, then the stubbled line of my jaw.

“If this is a dream,” she murmurs, “can I stay asleep a little while longer?”

I can't stop my chuckle. “Not dreaming sunshine,” I tell her, resting my forehead against hers and enjoying her gentle caresses. Eyes still closed, her hands slide to the back of my neck and into my hair, her nails scraping delicately against my scalp.

Her legs stretch out and tangle with mine as she breathes against my mouth. “I promised myself if you came for me that I wouldn't keep any secrets from you anymore.”

My arms encircle her, one hand smoothing up her back under the cotton shirt while the other settles on the sweet curve of her ass, pulling the hard ball of her belly against me. I love feeling my baby inside her. Knowing that all this time, while she was gone, she was carrying a piece of my love inside her. She was marked as mine, even though I didn’t know it. Somehow it makes the separation more bearable.

“You have secrets?” I whisper back, not wanting to break whatever spell has us in it its grip. Carefully I lower my lips against hers. I don’t kiss her, just rest them there, breathing her air. Her breathing becomes ragged and her back arches, pressing her tits against my bare chest.

“Yeah.” The word is a whimper as the hot point of her tongue slicks over my bottom lip, tasting me I almost purr from the jolt of pleasure that sears me.

“I want to know all your secrets, Analise.” Returning the motion, I stroke my tongue against her lips until they part for me. My palm drifts across her belly and up. Until I'm cupping the heavy weight of her breast in my hand again. They are fuller than I remember, not that I spent any time on them the last time we were together this way. Something I’m going to correct. Right this second.

Carefully stroking her nipple until it is a hard little bud, I move my mouth over hers until she moans helplessly. I devour the sound greedily. She pulls back, just a breath away, and finally opens her eyes. The deep green orbs are soft and misty as she stares wonderingly at me.

Drawing a deep breath, she speaks, “Our wedding night…” she hesitates, and I can tell that she is unsure about continuing with her train of thought.

Tenderly I maneuver her onto her back, pushing her shirt up until I expose her rosy skin. Dark bruises pepper her flesh, and a hot flash of anger bursts inside me, but I force it back. She doesn’t need to see my ire right now. All she needs from me now is reassurance. And pleasure.

Leaning up on my forearm, I press kisses against the marks that are in easy reach while lightly pinching her nipple between my thumb and index finger. Her legs restlessly move against mine, falling open slightly in unconscious invitation.

“What about our wedding night?” I remind her, lowering my lips to rest in the valley between her breasts.

A pleading whimper escapes her throat, and her eyes flutter shut.

“Eyes on me sunshine,” I command lowly, the truth being that I can't bear to not be able to see them. She languidly lifts her lashes revealing more than her eyes to me with her simple glance.

She moans when my hand settles over the scorching heat of her sex through what I know are pale purple satin panties. “Tell me, Ana.” My fingers stroke, finding a small damp spot and rubbing against it.

“I…” she starts, shifting her pelvis, seeking more friction. I stop the small motion of my finger.
