YB got hit in the shoulder and dropped. Ray-Lo charged in behind YB and fired the gun, aiming for the head. Crown was relentless and continued busting off rounds at his attackers. He hit Ray-Lo in the abdomen. Ray-Lo dropped and scurried for cover as he bled from his gut.

YB was shocked when he saw Crown’s face. He screamed from the hallway, “How’s your bitch ass still fuckin’ alive? We killed you, nigga!”

“Karma, muthafucka! I don’t die. I don’t fuckin’ die!” Crown screamed back. “I’m Crown and I came for you and that bitch!”

Wendy managed to take cover by the bed as the gunshots rang out. She was breathing heavily and was in pretty bad shape. YB dropped the shotgun and pulled out the 9 mm. Ray-Lo was in bad shape also, but he was ready to bang out. He was breathing heavily and bleeding when he looked at YB from across

the room and saw him nod.

Simultaneously they stood and let off a barrage of rounds at Crown. Crown returned fire as he escaped out a nearby window and climbed up the fire escape.

YB gave chase. He quickly followed Crown up the fire escape. He wanted Crown’s head on a silver platter.

As YB gave chase, Ray-Lo lay on his back dying. Wendy came over to him and tried to nurse his wound the best she knew how. The night just kept getting crazier and crazier for everyone.

“Hold still, while I put pressure on the bleeding,” she told him.

Ray-Lo continued to be still on the floor, trying not to die.

Out on the rooftop, twelve stories up, YB still chased Crown. They continued to fire rounds at each other until Crown’s gun was empty. He had nowhere to run and was trapped as YB approaching him.

“You started this, nigga!” Crown yelled out.

YB stood a short distance from Crown. He knew Crown was helpless. YB still had a few shots left.

“You should have stayed dead, nigga! You fucked wit’ my family! You fucked wit’ my family!” YB screamed in rage.

“You fucked wit’ mine first! Chaos was mine. I had that bitch in pocket until you came along and wanted to save a fuckin’ ho.”

“Niggas like you are a fuckin’ disgrace to the game. Where’s Chaos?”

“Fuck that bitch! When I see her again, I got somethin’ for that ass. I’m gonna rape her somethin’ lovely, then put that bitch out on the track twenty-four seven and there ain’t shit you gonna do about it.”

Down below, they could hear many police sirens blaring in the distance. They knew that dozens of police cars would soon surround the building and lock it down.

Both men glared intensely at each other. YB raised the gun to Crown’s head. He hated that man with all his heart. A bullet was too good for Crown. He wanted that muthafucka to hurt and feel some serious pain, but there was no time.

“Nigga, you too pussy to pull the trigger. I’ll fuck you like I do my bitches. This ain’t over, nigga. This ain’t over—”

Blam!

YB watched Crown drop on the rooftop. He walked up to the body and stared down at the dead man. He still wasn’t satisfied with his death.

“Fuck this!” he muttered.

He dropped the gun, grabbed Crown’s body and dragged it to the edge of the rooftop. He then looked down the twelve stories and felt butterflies in his stomach.

He tossed the body off the rooftop and watched it fall to the hard ground. Crown landed in the alleyway face first. It wasn’t a pretty sight.

YB stared down at the body and heard the sirens out front. He looked around for his escape and thought about Ray-Lo and Wendy. He needed to see Danielle but knew that jail was not an option right now. He picked up his gun and made a run for it, hoping Ray-Lo and Wendy would be all right.

Danielle rode silently in the backseat of the cab, feeling somewhat relieved, but couldn’t stop crying. The guilt she felt bothered her, but Pastor Moore’s words did give her guidance. She wanted to change her life completely and live a life completely free from her past. In order for her to do that, she had to confess.

The cab pulled up in front of her building and she slowly stepped out. Her belly was growing and so was her conscience. This was a chance that she decided to take. The night felt still around her. Danielle took a deep breath and looked around. She was determined to be a mother to her unborn child, no matter what happened in her life.

“I’ll be right back,” she told the driver.
