MAXXINE: Yes.

KWC624: You haven’t answered my question, dear.

MAXXINE: I know.

KWC624: It’s okay. I assumed too quickly. I don’t want you to feel pressured into this.

MAXXINE: You know this will never work.

KWC624: Smile.

MAXXINE: This is crazy, but my answer is yes.

KWC624: Aw, I wish you could see the smile on my face. I’m exhilarated!

MAXXINE: Kenneth, don’t get your hopes up. I’m not promising you anything.

KWC624: I believe we both know what we’re in for.

We continued to chat for the next ten or fifteen minutes before exchanging our cell phone numbers. Kenneth called me immediately after we both signed off. For the next two hours, we engaged in phone sex. Kenneth’s oral sexual foreplay made me climax nine times. It was official. We made arrangements for the upcoming week to meet each other.

I was a nervous freaking wreck, waiting for Kenneth at the baggage claim in McCarthy International Airport. It was overly crowded, my patience was running low, and my heart was pounding through my chest. He should have been there by then. I had made plans for us to go to the Bushnell Theatre; different events were going on during Black History Month. What the hell! I shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Black women didn’t do crazy shit like that.

“What the hell was I thinking?” I asked myself out loud.

A man walked up behind me, wrapping his strong arms around my waist—squeezing me. He sucked on my left earlobe before saying, “Maxxine, it’s too late to have doubts now.”

Kenneth swung me around to face him. Shit, he was too fine! Just like Kamar, only taller and bigger. His dark eyes held me in a spell and time seemed to stand still.

“Maxxine, don’t get shy on me now; not after all the things you said to me on the phone.”

As he stood there grinning, I snapped out of my trance and spoke to him in person for the very first time.

“Hi, Kenneth.”

Kenneth’s touch felt so familiar to me, causing me to blush within his arms. His facial features struck me in a wicked way, as if we had met before. That thought quickly faded as he slipped his tongue in my mouth and our tongues intertwined in a passionate kiss. He was seemingly attempting to suck the life out of me.

I broke free from our kiss long enough to say, “Are you ready to go to the Bushnell?”

He eagerly replied, “Oh, yes, Maxxine.”

We didn’t make it out of the airport parking garage before Kenneth was feeling all over my ass and waist. He insisted on taking the stairs instead of the elevator to the ninth level. We stopped in between levels seven and eight of the stairwell.

“Maxxine,” he whispered in my ear as he leaned over, “I want you! I want you right now.” He flicked his tongue in my ear and it made me melt, causing friction between my thighs. “Maxxine.”

Kenneth pressed my body closer to his, leaving no space between us. I could feel his cool-minted breath brushing against my face. More important, I could feel his steel pipe pressing on my stomach.

He asked, “Are you okay?”

I replied, “Yes.”

His lips were soft and tender as our tongues intertwined once more. He forced his thick, long tongue down my throat, searching for my inner soul. He put his hand on the back of my neck to fill my mouth with his tongue. I let out a slight moan of bliss as I caressed his smooth-as-a-baby’s-skin face. He used his free hand to unbutton my salt-and-pepper peacoat and squeezed my breasts at the same time. Just then I realized that I was about to commit adultery. I broke our kiss and he tried to put his tongue back in my mouth. I rejected it.

“Maxxine, what’s the problem?”

“I shouldn’t be here.”

“Then we’ll go wherever you want to go.” He put his cold hands underneath my black cashmere turtleneck and caressed the small of my back. The coldness of his hands sent chills down my spine. I gazed into his eyes, searching for the right.
