“Nikki’s hating ass attacked her while we were at the mall,” Nell answered.

“Nikki!” both ladies said with shocked expressions on their faces.

“Aye, what the fuck is going on in here?” Allen said as he and Murder walked in.

“Murder and Allen, I didn’t expect to see you two here. Where’s the other head of the three headed monster?” a detective asked.

“Kiss my ass. My girl is back there, so I have a reason to be here. You have that bitch who did this at the station. Why the fuck are y’all here with us? When you get back to the station, let that hoe know I’m gonna visit her when she gets out. We’ve got some shit to discuss,” Murder said.

“It’s not wise for you to threaten someone like that,” the detective said.

“What? Is it a crime to talk to mother fuckers now?” Murder asked with a smirk.

“Your reputation precedes you. Everyone knows that talking is the last thing you do. You’re not fooling us,” the detective told him.

“You can’t judge me off shit you heard. Are y’all done here?” Murder asked.

“We’re done here for now,” the other detective said before they both left.

“What the fuck happened?” Murder asked Nell.

Nell told them everything that happened from the time they left the car wash up to when she came out of the dressing room. The guys looked at each other multiple times as she told her story. Her mother and Auntie did the same thing.

“You know what we gotta do, right?” Allen asked, looking at Murder.

“Hell yeah, I gotta kill that hoe,” Murder said.

“How are y’all gonna do that if she’s locked up?” Nell asked.

They looked at each other and laughed.

“I have to make a call. I’ll be right back,” Allen said.

“Have the doctors come in yet?” Murder asked. “The last thing I need is for them to be fucking with her while trying to get to me,” Murder explained.

He knew how some cops were. They would try to use someone’s girl to turn on them or tell them something to get whoever it was hemmed up. That was the vibe Murder was getting from the cops, but he couldn’t dwell on that right now.

“I know, Murder. I’m not new to this,” Nell said with a forced smile. “No, they didn’t come in and say anything yet. Murder, what are we gonna do if she’s blind because of this?” Nell asked.

She looked at her mother consoling her auntie, and that sight alone made her wish death on her cousin.

“Get her ass a cane and a seeing eye dog. What the fuck did you think I was going to say? I’m in it to win it with Law Baby,” Murder said.

They sat for another three hours before anyone came to see them with an update about Lawrynn.

“Just give it to me straight, Doc. Is my wife gonna be able to see?” Murder asked.

Nell noticed how her auntie let Murder say what needed to be said to the doctors. Her aunt was standing there letting Murder handle things for his wife.

“Fortunately, I don’t think she’s lost her sight completely. She will have to wear protective gauze on her eyes and a pair of black out glasses for at least three months. She will be here for at least two weeks, so we can monitor her. She will have a prescription for a medicated solution to drop in her eyes three times a day. How well she responds to the medicine will determine if she stays longer than two weeks. Do you have any questions?” the doctor asked.

“When can we see her?” Nell asked.

“We’re getting her settled into her room. Once she is settled you can see her,” he answered.

“I think you ladies should go in first. I’m not leaving once I go in,” Murder said to Lawrynn’s mother and aunt.

“Go ahead down to the cafeteria, babygirl, I gotta talk to Murder right quick,” Allen said. They walked to the parking lot of the hospital before they started talking.
