I glanced back at the photo. “Well, there is definite potential here. But…”

“But what?” said Grayson, putting a hand lightly on my arm.

“But things got complicated with us, didn’t they?” I said.

Samuel stepped up to me and put a hand on my other arm. “That’s nothing we can’t work out.”

“Is it, though?” I asked.

“It was my fault,” said Wyatt. “And I’m sorry. I got carried away and tried to pressure you. I’m sorry about that.”

I tried to look him in the eye, but he was so contrite and so sexy, I had to look away. I looked back at the photo of the seven smiling hunks then looked up to see those same seven hunks in the flesh around me. “It’s bound to get more complicated; you know?”

Wyatt approached me. He put his hand on my chin and lifted my head so that our eyes locked. “We’ve talked it out. We understand we shouldn’t have tried to force you to make a choice. That won’t happen again.”

I looked from Wyatt to Ryder to Lincoln to Grayson to Teddy to Samuel and to Aiden. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I was at a loss for words.

“We’re all about sharing,” said Grayson. “If that’s what you want, we can make it happen. We just want you to be happy.”

“And we want to be part of your life,” said Aiden.

“Speaking of life,” I said and slipped the photo back in the envelope. “I’m pregnant.”

Samuel got down on a knee before me. He took my hand and kissed it then he planted a kiss on my belly, stood, and stepped back.

Nobody said a word. I searched their faces and found a mix of excitement and apprehension.

Then Grayson stepped up to me. He got on a knee, kissed my hand then my belly then stood and stepped back just the way Samuel had.

I started to laugh but caught myself. “I’m pregnant. I didn’t become a queen or royalty or anything.”

Aiden followed Samuel’s and Grayson’s gesture with the same then the rest of the men took turns kneeling before me and kissing my hand then my belly.

Finally, Lincoln spoke up. “You’re going to have a beautiful baby.”

I looked at him and searched for a response. Before I could give it, Wyatt elbowed Lincoln. “You mean, we’re going to have a beautiful baby.” He glanced at me with a questioning expression. “Isn’t that right, Ruby?”

“Do you mean it?” I said.

“That we will share?” asked Wyatt.

I nodded and placed my hands over my belly. “Are you really prepared to share?”

Teddy said, “We’ll be the best fathers, uncles, big brothers, husbands, boyfriends, lovers, friends. Whatever you need us to be, we’re prepared.”

I had to hold on tight to the folder as my hands were shaking. Just then, the Sinful Sisters started playing.

I looked at Lincoln and said. “It’s too bad we’re going to miss their performance.”

He cocked his head to the side and furrowed his brow. “Why would we miss it?”

I smiled. “We had quite an argument and now we’ve made up. You know what that means?” I fluttered my eyelashes.

“It means we can dance and celebrate,” said Grayson.

Wyatt pushed Grayson out of the way and put an arm around my shoulders. “You can dance and celebrate if you want,” he said to Grayson. “The rest of us are going to have make-up sex.”

I slipped free from Wyatt’s hold and put my arm around Grayson. “No,” I said, “All of us are going to have make-up sex.” I turned to Grayson. “We’ll dance and celebrate later, okay?” I kissed him on the cheek while he nodded his approval.

With the Sinful Sisters banging away a heavy metal hoe-down before a bewildered audience, seven hunky men escorted me across the lawn to the stables.

This time, I was the one letting out pent-up frustrations. My men had got me so upset, and although I did adore them, and we had made up, they needed to be exhausted and have their hardened muscles worked overtime before I could truly forgive and forget.

“Wyatt,” I said to him, letting the tip of my pointing index finger touch the end of his nose before dropping it slowly down his button-down shirt over the buckle of his belt and down the crotch of his jeans, “you were the one who instigated the argument. You were the one who insisted I choose.”

“And I’m sorry, but…”

I put my hand up to silence him. “I don’t need more apologies. But just so you know, I’m going to be extra hard on you now.” I grabbed him by the waist of his jeans, pulled him to the haystack, and threw him down.

He laughed, but I looked at him sternly and shook my head.

His smile was contagious, and I couldn’t even feign to be upset. So I jumped on him. The others rushed over. They helped me out of my clothes, and my hands were free to explore Wyatt’s body sprawled out before me.
