“No, you ain’t.” Rain pushed him off her, rolled over and grabbed the phone. “Hello.”

“Hello, Ms. Robinson,” Black said.

“You haven’t called me that in a long time,” Rain said, and it made her think back to the days when she was always in trouble, and hoped she wasn’t now.

“I know. Did I catch you at a bad time?”

Rain looked at Denny stroking his dick and shook her head. “No. What’s up, Black?”

“You on the phone with some other mutha fucka while I’m laying here.” Denny shouted.

Rain reached in the nightstand drawer and took out her gun. She pointed it at Denny. “Shut up.”

His eyes got big, his dick got soft and Denny didn’t open his mouth again.

“Sorry, Black. What’s up?”

“I’m sorry to interrupt …” Black paused, “whatever you got going there, but I need you to meet Jake at the airport.”

“When?”

“Now. He’s waiting for you.”

Rain got out of bed and walked toward the bathroom, phone in one hand and gun in the other. “Where am I going?”

“To Freeport.”

“Everything all right?”

“I’ll tell you when you get here.”

Fuck!

“I’m on my way,” Rain said and closed the bathroom door knowing that she was in trouble. When she closed the door, Denny sprang up from the bed, dressed as quickly as he could, and got outta there.

When Rain arrived at the airport, Jake was ready to take off, and she flew the Cesena to Freeport. During the flight, she put her on autopilot and thought about what Black wanted to talk about that he would send the jet. But any opportunity to fly was all right with her.

Once Rain landed in Freeport, Napoleon got on.

“Hey, Napoleon.”

“Purple Rain, what’s up?” he said and looked at Jake.

“I’ll have her refueled and ready to go as soon as I can,” Jake said and left the cockpit.

“Call me when you are done,” Napoleon said and turned to Rain. “Come, the boss is waiting to have a chat with you at Palais de Plaisir.”

On the way to Plaisir, the house that Jada built in Freeport to rival Paraíso, Rain wanted Napoleon to tell her what was going on, but Napoleon told her no. When she reminded him that she was the underboss of The Family, and for that reason alone, he should tell her what Black wanted to talk about, Napoleon laughed.

“You know the boss is a very wise man.”

“He told you I would say that, didn’t he?”

“Of course, he did.”

“What did he say?” Rain asked.

“The boss said to remind you that he said that he, and he said be sure to emphasize the word, he,” Napoleon said and laughed, “Would tell you when you get here. He also said to remind you that he, and here again the boss asked me to emphasize the word, he, is still the boss of this Family, so even if I wanted to, and this time, I would like to emphasize the word, he, has ordered me not to tell you what this is all about.”
