The glowing Shy wore a lavish silk Valentino cape-like gown in light plum that accentuated the long lines of her body and her rounding curves courtesy of the baby. And of course, she was accompanied by her handsome husband wearing a Capstone Italian tuxedo. His mother, M was wearing a boat neck mermaid gown in blush. The bell sleeve and bow feature at her shoulder made the dress look matronly, but fashionable. Wanda surprised everybody when she was escorted in by James Austin, her so-called secret man that everybody knew about. She looked radiant in the navy Zac Posen off-the-shoulder silk midi dress she selected for the occasion. Her smile was wide as she took her seat at the table and introduced James to her family for the first time.

Looking very chic with her in an electric yellow Carolina Herrera off-the-shoulder dress, and him in a Kenneth Cole notch lapel tuxedo, Bobby and Pam arrived and were seated at what the staff had deemed the Bosses table. Seated at the table next to them were their children. Tenikka was there with her handsome date and she looked magnifice

nt in her Sachin & Babi gown. Looking dapper in a black Ermenegildo Zegna peak-lapel one-button wool tuxedo, was RJ with his arm around his dazzling date, Venus who was wearing a Carmen Marc Valvo sequin leather embellished gown. Barbara who looked elegant in the orchid Carmen Marc Valvo floral halter gown she wore, wanted Ram to come with her, but Tenikka told her that it was a bad idea. But Barbara had a plan.

Travis came in wearing a Versace tux with Jackie, wearing a black Michael Kors one shoulder gown with cutout front, on one arm, and Fiona in Dahlia Cushnie et Ochs off-the-shoulder gown, on his other.

In his Boss tux, Victor escorted Fantasy into Cuisine. She looked stunning on his arm wearing a black Elie Saab cut-out wrap-skirt gown. She was just happy to be there amongst those with so much power and influence and her wide smile showed that. There was one person that she was looking for, but she hadn’t seen him yet.

One of the last guests to arrive, because that was her style, was Jada. She was exquisitely dressed in a Pamella Roland printed mesh organza ball gown. Her escort for the night was Martin Marshall’s chief of staff, Clayton Edmonds.

Looking gorgeous in the Roberto Cavalli cross-front zebra print dress she was rocking, Rain sat next to M at the table with Black, Bobby, and Wanda. Even though she’d rather not be there, she knew well enough to know that at something so high profile, The Family was at a greater risk and in that cute dress, she was not ready for war.

“You look very nice in that dress, Loraine,” M commented when she sat down.

“Thank you, Miss Black,” Rain said with a frown on her face.

“Why do you look so mad?” M asked.

“She doesn’t have anywhere to hide her guns,” Shy laughed and then glanced at James because she had no idea what Wanda had told him about her family.

“You know me better than that, Shy,” Rain said knowing that her guns sat inside her cute, but functional bag that matched her dress at her feet.

Wanda leaned close to Shy. “He doesn’t know everything, but he does know who we are,” she said softly. “Seems that there aren’t too many people who haven’t heard of those two,” Wanda said of Black and Bobby who were talking quietly to each other.

The two of them got drunk with Nick the night before, stood and poured out some liquor for Freeze and they reminisced about the old days until well past sunrise. The thing that kept coming up throughout the night was …

“I can’t believe you’re really gettin' married.”

“Why, Bobby, you and Mike been married for years,” Nick said and drained his glass.

“But you a hoe,” Bobby said and refilled Nick’s glass before topping off his own.

“Look who’s talkin’,” Nick laughed. “We’re not gonna even compare body counts. Not with the two of you.”

Bobby looked at Black.

“Don’t look at me, Bob, this your shit. I know I used to slay pussy like I was the red fuckin’ army,” Black said, drained his glass and refilled it with Remy. “But I ripped my player card the second I saw Cassandra.”

“I knew Pam was the one the second I met her too,” he laughed. “It just took me a whole lot longer to give up my card.”

“That’s because you’re a hoe, Bob,” Black said and looked at Nick. “But I can’t believe you’re gettin' married either, Nick.”

“Why?”

Black and Bobby laughed. “’Cause you a hoe,” they both said and all three laughed.

“What can I say, I found the right one,” Nick said and wondered again what his life would have been, what would his, April’s and Marvin’s life been like had things happened differently.

Black raised his glass. “To finding the right one.”

Nick and Bobby raised their glasses and they drank to that.

“And to all the other ones,” Bobby said, and they all laughed and drank to that.

“I’ll save the long ass speech for tomorrow, but I hope that it all works out for you like it has for us,” Black said.

“I’ll drink to that,” Bobby said, and they drank to that and just about everything else that was said. Therefore, needless to say, all three were pretty hungover, but they were there.
