“Go ahead,” RJ said and Tahanee walked away, taking out her phone. While Tahanee talked to Black, Barbara, RJ and Marvin looked on and waited.
“He wants to talk to you,” Tahanee said and handed Barbara the phone.
“Hi, Uncle Mike.”
“You okay?”
“I’m okay.”
“I’ll be by the house later to check on you; now put your brother on the phone.”
Barbara looked at RJ. “He wants to talk to you,” Barbara said and handed him the phone.
“Yes, Uncle Mike,” RJ began.
“As soon as you know, I need to know who this nigga is and who he’s down with. Understand?”
“Yes, Uncle Mike. Me and Money are about to get on that right now.”
“We’ll talk about that when I see you.”
“Yes, sir.”
“And RJ.”
“Yes, Uncle Mike.”
“You did good. I’m proud of you. Now go handle your business,” Black said and ended the call.
As promised, RJ and Marvin paid a visit to Ram’s spot, which was run by Trig, along with Azibo, Wolf and Dequain. RJ stepped in front of the door and kicked it in. Then he and Marvin entered the house shooting.
RJ saw Azibo standing in the hallway. He pointed his weapon and fired at RJ as he ran for the back door. RJ fired back and hit Azibo twice in the back.
Dequain was shooting at Marvin. He knelt down, fired twice and hit him with shots to his shoulder and chest. Dequain went down. Marvin kicked the gun away from Dequain and shot him in the head.
Trig was in the kitchen trying to gather up the drugs. He took a shot at RJ, and he dove for the floor. RJ rolled to better cover and returned fire. Trig fired at RJ again, and he returned fire. That shot grazed Trig’s head and he shot back at RJ. He fired again and hit Trig with two shots to his chest.
Marvin reloaded his weapon and saw Wolf run out of a room down the hallway. He fired, and Wolf fired back as he ran for the back door. Marvin chased him down the hall, stopped, fired and Wolf went down.
Chapter Twenty-four
“Wait a minute; what the fuck is you sayin’, Mike?” Bobby asked excitedly.
“Calm down, Bobby. Barbara is fine.”
“What happened?”
“Some guy she knew set her up.”
“Where is the mutha fucka?”
“We’ll talk about that when I see you.” Black knew that by then, RJ and Marvin should be on their way to deal with Ram’s crew. “Where are you?”
“I’m on my way to Wanda’s office.”
“I’ll meet you there,” Black said and ended the call. “Chuck, take us to Wanda’s office, please.”
“Yes, sir. And I’ll call Jake and tell him that we’re making a stop first,” Chuck said.
