Page 33 of His Secret Sin

Taking the steps two at a time, he walked past rooms. The doors were still open, and he saw people fucking. Men with women. A gang of men with a woman.

Every detestable thing imaginable was happening, and it pissed him off.

He couldn’t find Belle.

If one of these motherfuckers had touched her, he was going to make them wish they’d never even looked in her direction, let alone touched her.

His cell phone rang, and he picked it up, seeing Richard was the one calling.

“Where is she?” he asked. He had put a tracker in her bag and in some of her clothing, and of course in her cell phone. Richard was able to find her.

“They put her in the basement. The trackers are all there, Diego.”

He hung up his cell phone. Richard was proving to be the guy he needed in this kind of situation. The guy was ace when it came to technology.

Turning on his heel, he made his way downstairs. When he was at the ground floor, he saw the door with the sign for basement above it.

Opening the door, he saw one guy about to shoot up. He pulled out his knife, as he didn’t want to alert anyone else that was down there. Slitting the guy’s throat was easy. He pulled him back, allowing him to bleed out. The shocked look in his eyes did not bother him.

Walking down the stairs, he heard a couple of guys calling out.

Shit!

He didn’t want Belle to know who he was. This had put him in a fucking mess. Still, he wasn’t going to walk away.

Not from this.

Holding his weapon, he rounded the corner to see, two guys, both with their pants on but without a shirt or shoes.

“Who the fuck are you?” one guy asked.

“Diego Leoni!” The moment he saw the fear in the guy’s face, Diego smiled and fired his weapon, taking them both out with a bullet to the head.

Walking past their dead bodies, when he saw Belle, he wished he’d made them scream just a little.

They had chained her up in some rusty cuffs. She still had her clothes on, but they looked dirty and torn. She was cowering in the corner, crying.

There was something wet around her, and he knew they had pissed on her. The scent of urine was heavy in the air.

Removing his jacket, he got a little closer to her.

“Belle, baby, it’s me.”

She was crying, her hands covering her face.

He spoke to her again, then again, repeating the same words until she finally heard him.

“Diego?” she asked.

Her voice was croaky as if she’d been screaming.

“It’s me. I’m coming toward you.”

“How did you know?”

“Someone I know saw you. It’s okay. I’ve got my jacket.”

“Diego, please, I’m scared.”

“They’re gone. They’re not coming back,” he said. He was pleased she was blind so she didn’t see that he killed two people.

Placing the jacket over her shoulders, he gripped the cuffs. They were dirty and biting into her flesh.

“They chained me up like an animal. Are the police here?” she asked.

“Don’t worry about that. Don’t worry about anything right now. I’m just going to look for the key.”

“Please, don’t leave me. Please.” She gripped his shirt, and he hated how scared she sounded.

Glancing behind him, he saw one of his men had at least followed him down.

“The key!” He mouthed the words for the man to do as he was bid.

After tonight he may have to kill all four men who had accompanied him.

“Who is that? Who is there?” Belle asked.

Her hearing was proving to be impeccable.

“It’s a friend.”

“I’m so scared.”

“I know, baby.” He grabbed the cuffs, giving them a tug as they were connected to the wall. Some of the brick looked like it had come away, and if he did give it a good tug, he may be able to get her out of there.

His guy came toward him with a key.

He took it from him, twisting the lock on each cuff. They had also put one around her neck as well, and the same key worked in that lock.

Anger consumed him, but he pushed it all down as he picked Belle up in his arms. Carrying her out of the basement, he met his other three men on the ground floor.

“Burn it,” he said.

They nodded without saying a word. Leaving the building, he carried Belle closely against himself.

Richard had brought the truck into the main parking lot.

He opened the door, and Diego didn’t give himself time to question him, just carried his woman into the back of the truck, holding her as she cried and wept.

Richard drove the truck, and he held his woman close, not wanting to let her go.

“Did they hurt her, Diego?” Richard asked.

“I don’t know.”

“We need to know.”

“I know we fucking do.” He was shaking with rage, but there was also something else.
