It was so great, so hot and so amazing that I grabbed a sandwich, a box of pastries for the hospital staff and left my wife with a satisfied smile on her face, and completely forgot to tell her that her assailants had been caught.

For the seventh morning in a row, I woke up smiling with my head on Casey’s chest. The sound of his steady, even heartbeat was the perfect accompaniment to the birds just outside the window. Some people thought early morning birdsong was too much and came way too early, but for me it was the soundtrack of my mornings. Sitting up with a stretch, I looked at my husband and laid a hand over his heart.

He was the most beautiful man ever, and he was all mine. All. Mine.

“I can feel you staring and it’s a little bit creepy. But I like it anyway.”

His words startled a gasp and then a laugh out of me. “I love you, my little weirdo.”

Casey reached for my wrist and pulled me on top of him, wrapping his arms low on my waist. “That’s Dr. Weirdo to you, babe.”

“Oh yeah?” My hips slowly rolled against his morning wood, appreciating the stiff length as it dragged along my clit.

Casey nodded and licked his lips, jaws clenched in a smile at the pleasure caused when my arousal dripped down his cock. “Yeah, he growled.”

I wanted him. Now. Badly. But it was already after nine and we had a big day today. “Can I interest you in a shower, Dr. Weirdo?”

Heat flared in his eyes and in two swift moves, my husband out of the bed with my body wrapped around his as he took us both to the bathroom. The water was just hot enough to fill the room quickly with steam, to create a whole mood as he pressed my back against the wall and slid inside of me. Deep.

“Casey,” I moaned and he smiled.

“You feel incredible, babe. So fucking incredible.”

My lips curled into a smile. “That’s all you.”

He loved me long and slow, taking his sweet time to take me up to the mountain top before we clasped our hands and jumped off together. Casey’s roar of ecstasy echoed in the bathroom and his warmth filled my body, literally and figuratively. “Love you, Megs.”

“Love you more, Case.”

We made our way to the bed and lingered another fifteen minutes before I jumped from the bed and shook off the post-orgasmic lethargy that threatened to send me back to dreamland. Casey sat up with a frown.

“Morning sickness?”

“What?” I looked at the concern in his eyes and shook my head. “No, it’s been afternoon sickness for the past two weeks. But we do need to get up and get moving or else we’ll be late.”

His brows dipped low and Casey slid to the foot of the bed. “You’re really this excited about a baseball game?”

“Softball,” I corrected him with a teasing smile. “And I am. It’ll be just like old times when we’d play all day and throw some brats and burgers on the grill.”

Casey wrapped me in a hug and buried his face between my breasts. “Just like old times?”

I laughed and ran my fingers through his hair because I knew exactly what he was thinking. “If you play your cards right, maybe just like old times. Only better.”

Heat flared in his eyes and Casey practically jumped to his feet. “What are we waiting for, woman? Chop, chop, or we’ll be late.”

I stared at his smiling face and burst out laughing. “You’re lucky I love you.”

He stopped moving, t-shirt half on and half off his delicious body, and smashed a hot, hard kiss against my mouth. “I tell myself that every single day.”

My legs wobbled but only a little, but seriously how could a girl resist a gorgeous surgeon who made her feel like the sexiest, most exciting and most wonderful woman in the world? It was impossible.

Totally impossible.

And I couldn’t wait to get this day started for real.

We pulled up to the park and Casey frowned. Again. “Did the whole town show up to watch us throw our backs out as we round the bases?”

I laughed. “You worried you might throw your back out diving for home plate?”

“Damn straight,” he growled and I couldn’t help the laughter that erupted out of me.

“If that happens we’ll just tell everyone I rode you too hard last night and you threw it out then, but you played today because today is special.”

He smiled. “Today is special?”

“It is,” I told him with a smile. “All will be revealed soon ish.”

“There you go, being all vague again.”

I shrugged. “All part of my charm, I guess.” I grabbed the duffel bags from the trunk and shut it quickly, before handing Casey his jersey.

“Groom?”

“Yep and mine says, Bride.” I turned so he could see it. “Consider this the beginning of our Jack & Jill parties, that’s what they’re called you know.”
