Last week, I was doing laundry when I realized a couple pairs of my panties were missing. I know I had put them in the laundry, but they were gone. Vanished. That’s not all. Someone has tampered with my computer. I can’t prove it, but a few times when I had come home from school, the window had been left up and my Facebook page was up. I looked and all the boys on my page had been unfriended and blocked. That was the final straw. I confronted my dad, thinking the computer thing was him since he is super overprotective, but he swore it wasn’t and then he almost panicked. He called in some IT guy who put a backdoor, firewall, trojan, something or other in my security system. Supposedly it makes it unhackable and will catch the hacker. Whatever they say.

Today I have biology class which I am dreading. Not only do I suck at science, but I am pretty sure my teacher wants to sleep with me and lately his queues have gotten more and more blatant. I contemplated going to the dean or my advisor but he hasn’t tried to touch me and considering how little experience I have with the opposite sex, I could've read it wrong. Truthfully, I had considered that it could be him stalking me, but I quickly dismissed that. Sometimes when this stuff is happening, he is in another lecture and unless I am really out of it, he can’t be in two places at once. The good news is, today, we are doing a lecture on the grass so we will be outside in the open. “Next.” the girl in Starbucks yells. I turn to move out of the way. I already have my drink, I just always stand in here to finish it. Drinking and waking don’t make a good combo.

“Oomph. I am so…wow.” I gasp as I bump into someone and look up at his face. Holy hotness. His hands heat my arms as they hold me still, no doubt trying to make sure I don’t trip.

“It’s ok Raven. Are you ok?” Raven? Ok? What? My mind is so fogged with how sexy he is that I am not registering this conversation. “Did you hurt yourself, beauty?” he tries again, this time touching my cheek.

“No..I-I’m fine.” I stutter, like an idiot.

“Yes, you are.” he says before releasing me. It’s the weirdest thing. First, I feel like I know him. Second, I instantly want his hands back on me. “Christ. You smell like holy water mixed with roses.” he whispers as his finger traces my bottom lip. My tongue itches to peek out and lick his finger, but I am not that brave.

“What?” is all I think to say. My mind is too busy picturing him in various states of undress. What the hell is wrong with me?

“Nothing is wrong with you, baby. Nothing at all. Yet. Will you tell me your name?”

“Nova. Nova Michaels.” Did you really just give a stranger your name? Great. Your father is going to lose it. I chastise myself.

“Beautiful name, sweet girl. My name is Loe.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“Same to you. Where were you off to?” he asks. His eyes travel up and down my body like it’s his canvas, and I feel every bit of it…everywhere. Oh, man.

“Science class.”

“You go to the University?”

“Yes.”

“Great. Can I walk you?" Is he serious? He wants to walk me to school. What kind of crazy would I be to say no?

“Sure. That would be nice.” he smiles, which he should never do because it is alluring. His face and demeanor are already stuff of bad girls dreams, but when he smiles, he makes even us good girls melt. Slinging my back across his shoulders, we walk side by side toward campus, which is only two blocks up.

“So, where is your boyfriend?” he asks, his face serious.

“I don’t have one.” he scoffs. “What? I don’t.”

“That is cause boys are dumb as fuck. Hell, apparently men are too if none of them have cuffed you,” he states matter-of-factly.

“Cuffed me, Is that a metaphor?” See how bad at this I am.

“Maybe for these dumb fucks that go here, baby. But for me, it is very tangible. If you were mine, you’d be cuffed to my bed night and day, giving me access to your sweetness, away from everyone else.” Holy moly. I should be appalled and running from him at the mention of the word cuffs, but instead everything is screaming YES on the inside.

“Uh...”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to drop that on you, you just…bring stuff out of me.” he mumbles that last part. Walking onto the Quad, I spot my class already finding spots to sit in and I reach for my bag.

“Well, this is me. Thank you for your…”
