Another tap and I didn’t hesitate taking the paper from his hand.

I wish my dick was that pen

I quickly refolded the paper and flattened it on my notebook.

He had promised he didn’t expect anything from me. I knew that if I really wanted to, I could discourage this behavior and be done with it. Making it clear there wouldn’t be anything sexual between us, but that wasn’t really what I wanted.

It felt damn good to have a hot man interested in me. Although his motives were still unclear. I knew he didn’t have to write dirty notes in order to get women to spread their legs. He could have any vagina he wanted, whenever he wanted. So why was he working so hard to get mine?

Did it matter?

This wasn’t about true love. This was about pleasure. Something I knew Max was well versed in.

Another tap on my shoulder. Another piece of paper in my face.

I’ve been thinking about my cock in your mouth all day

Was it hot in here? I took off my sweater even though I only wore a tank top underneath. I didn’t care. Heat made its way up my neck to my cheeks.

I turned around to face him, and didn’t fail to notice that his eyes fell to my cleavage the moment I did so. This time, his blatant ogling didn’t disgust me. This time, I wanted his eyes on every part of me.

When he finally looked up, we gazed into each other’s eyes for a few moments and my heart was about to pound out of my chest. My throat was dry, my legs were squeezed so tightly I knew I’d be sore tomorrow.

Our interactions were based on a weird business deal, but he was making it difficult to keep our relationship all business, and no pleasure.

He held out his hand, a folded piece of paper sat between his fingers. I gently took it and turned back to face the front of the classroom.

But the words on the paper weren’t the ones I was expecting.

There’s a package waiting for you at home. I’ll pick you up at seven.

He was already gone when I turned around again, but the air was still ripe with his scent. That spicy cologne I had hated at first, but had come to crave on my skin.

I assumed training was off for today. Which was fine with me. I was getting better, but not good enough that running was pain-free.

I’d never been a fan of surprises. I hated them, actually. So it shocked the hell out of me when I found myself giddy with excitement at the thought of Max surprising me, again. If his surprise tonight included orgasms, who was I to turn him down?

Chapter 11

Max

For the first time in five years, I felt calm walking into the charity gala.

I wasn’t sure if it was because I wasn’t alone, or maybe it was because of the warm grasp Everly had on my biceps.

This year, instead of the oversized generic venues they usually rented, the shelter hosted the gala in the Harbour Suite at the Westin Harbour Castle. It was an expansive hotel suite, at least two thousand square feet, but still small enough to ensure that everyone noticed you.

Just perfect.

It was hard enough to escape the stares in an oversized event space.

I presented my tickets to the clerk just outside the doors.

Before we walked into the room, Everly pulled me off to the side. Nervousness darkened her eyes.

“How do I look?”

The dress I’d sent over fit perfectly. It looked perfect. She was perfect. And all mine. At least for tonight. The black, satin fabric hugged her minimal curves, and the material of the plunging neckline gathered in the hollow of her breasts. She’d elevated the dress to epic proportions with bloodred heels and sparkly earrings. Jade had done an outstanding job getting her ready.
