“You’re okay with what went down?” he asked. It tugged at her heart strings that he cared enough to make sure she was comfortable with their deal. “No regrets? No weirdness?”
“Weirdness? That was...that was the most...the most…”

Again? Before it would have been easy to get over. Even though she wouldn’t think twice about being with both men again, her favorite moments were with Rob. Her most intense feelings were when he was touching her. She wanted to tell him that he had taken her on an incredible journey. One that she would remember for the rest of her life. Then her brain functions kicked in, and she was right back to being conflicted.
This time she would take a page from Mac’s rulebook. She would face her feelings dead on.
“I think it was you.” She caught his gaze. “I think it was you that knew what I wanted. What was inside my head. It was like that the first time. Aleks being involved didn’t change anything.”
He pulled her across his body and covered her mouth with his. She writhed on top of him. The hair on his body gently scratched her skin as she pressed herself into him.
“How do you know?” She snaked her way down his body, peppering kisses across his chest and rib cage. “How do you know what I want?”
He pulled her up, positioning them face-to-face, and searched out her eyes. There was something he wanted to say. She could see it in his eyes, but it was as if he couldn’t find the words.
Finally he lightly kissed her and whispered along her lips, “Maybe because I feel like I’ve known you forever.”
Forever. That
word. Just like Carrie had warned her.
He rolled them over and just like that, the weight of his body on hers broke down her barriers. She couldn’t resist. She felt the same way.
He took his time examining her body with his lips and tongue. Up and down, side to side he explored, bypassing the one spot she needed him the most.
She didn’t want to think of Aleks, but she couldn’t stop thinking about how he felt inside her mouth. How he tasted as he spurted down the back of her throat. But just as fast as he broke down her barriers, Rob washed away the thought of Aleks with a gentle swipe of his hand across her breast.
