He shook his head. “If I get in there with you two, I won’t get back out.”

“That’s the idea.” I grinned. “Come on. You’ve got to be beat after last night.”

Charlie groaned. “I can still feel you guys inside.” His nostrils flared and he gazed at me. “It’s so hot.”

I felt a tugging in my groin in reaction to his arousal. My dick started to fill, and I heard Adan moan at the same time he moved his hand over my shaft.

“If you get in bed, I can kiss it and make it better,” I offered.

Though his breathing became more rapid and he whimpered, Charlie shook his head. “Uh-uh. We need to go.” He gulped. “Besides, I like this feeling. Don’t want it to stop.”

Adan finally joined in our conversation, moving out from underneath the pillow and saying, “It doesn’t have to stop. We can kiss it better and then fuck you into the mattress again. Come back to bed.”

“I want to get home before Stephi and Bobby wake up,” Charlie reminded us.

“Right.” I sighed and forced myself to sit up. “Good idea. Give us five minutes to shower and we can take off.” When Adan didn’t move, I reached back and smacked his butt. “Let’s go. The kids are waiting.”

“Goddamnit!” Adan shouted. He kicked the blankets off, slid out of bed, and growled, “Fine! But Scott, you need to call the mortgage broker and tell him to speed his shit up. I want us living together under one roof fucking yesterday.”

He stomped into the bathroom; I sighed and shook my head fondly.

“I remember Adan wasn’t a morning person, but wow,” Charlie said as he looked after him, wide-eyed.

I got up, wrapped my arms around Charlie’s waist, and pulled him into a hug. “That’s, like, 10 percent morning, 10 percent sleep deprivation, and 80 percent Adan wanting you in our life, in our house, and in our bed every day.” I kissed his temple. “Can’t say I blame him. We miss you when you’re not with us, and we’ve both been on edge for a good six months now, trying to win you back.”

“I’m sorry,” Charlie said as he squeezed me. “I needed—”

“You needed to know you could trust us. I get it.” I nuzzled his neck. “Adan does too. And he realizes it’s our fault for messing up before. But you know how he is. Patience is not one of his virtues. He loves you, loves Bobby and Stephi, so he wants you under his roof where he can make sure you’re taken care of.” I took a deep breath and shrugged. “That’s his way.”

“Scott! Get your ass in here,” Adan shouted from the bathroom. “It’s getting late!”

Charlie and I looked at each other and started laughing.

“There’s a Starbucks on the way to your apartment,” I reminded him as I walked away. “We’ll make sure he’s civilized before he sees the kids.”

Adan was drying off when I walked into the bathroom. “I left the water on for you. Hurry up.” He flung his towel over his shoulder and squeezed paste on his toothbrush. “Charlie’s right about the kids not waking up without any of us there.”

I rolled my eyes, got under the water, and reached for the soap. “It’s not like they’re alone. Daniel is with them.”

“We should be with them. Get a move on.”

I wasn’t going to argue with him, both because he was in no mood for it and also because he was right.

“Hey, Adan,” I said as I lathered up. “Before you go out there like a raging bull, try to remember this was the first night we spent with Charlie, the first time we got to wake up all together.” I rinsed off, turned off the water, and stepped out of the shower.

“What’s your point?” he asked as he handed me my towel.

“No point.”

I ran the towel over my body and he started walking out of the bathroom.

“A good-morning kiss might be a nice touch, though,” I called out after him.

He paused, grunted in acknowledgement, and left. I smiled to myself and reached for my toothbrush.

THE NEXT two weeks passed by in a flash. Daniel stayed in town, so while Adan and I were at work, Charlie and Daniel packed his apartment and our house, which we’d put on the market. And we finally got the financing lined up for the new house, so we were able to close.

Friday morning, while the kids were at school, the movers loaded up the truck and took all of our belongings to the home we’d finally get to share. While the rest of the guys started unpacking, I went for a coffee run. I returned to find Adan sitting on the floor in the family room, surrounded by wires.

“Doing okay?” I asked as I handed him his coffee.

“Yup. Thank you.” He took the cup and smiled. “Just getting the TV and the computer hooked up, so Bobby and Stephi can be entertained while we get the house put together this weekend.”
