Kip looked up from the pages and frowned. “You seriously think I will sign these without talking to my wife in person?”

“Sign. Don’t sign. It doesn’t change the fact that a divorce will be granted for Megan.”

“Then why even ask for it, Scott? If you don’t need my signature, why come here at all?”

“I wanted to tell you myself that you will never see her again. You will never be able to harm her again.” Scott leaned forward and tapped on the Plexiglas. “Now that your lover and the prison traitor are out of the picture, I think this box will hold you.”

Kip’s face darkened with rage and he threw the divorce papers to the floor of his cell. “Fuck you, Knight. Do you think I care a fuck whether Felix or the other guy live or die? I don’t. I know what is important. I know what matters. Fuck you and all your Destiny Luddites. The world has changed. People like me have the power. Real power. I will win. Nothing can hold someone like me.”

Scott made the same buzzing sound that Kip had given his first visit. “Wrong. You’ve lost.”

“My code is still sleeping inside TBK’s systems.”

He wasn’t about to tell the bastard that he and Eric had already hired two of the best minds to unravel the destructive viruses planted by Felix, Kip’s patsy, into the TBK network. It would take months but it would be done.

Kip continued ranting, lost in his lunacy. “You’ll see. I will win. I will win. I will win.”

Scott stood up, smiled, and said, “Game over.”

Inside the limo, Megan couldn’t believe her contract with Eric and Scott was less than a week from completion. She sat between them in the stretch that was heading to her mother’s house. Even though thrilled to see it again, she was apprehensive, too. Eric had seen it when he’d come for the modem, but Scott hadn’t.

She’d flown with her guys on the TBK jet to Dallas, along with Norman, who was coming out of retirement and out of the burger shop kitchen to fill the void left by the two dead executives, one good and one bad.

After the meeting at the headquarters with the board, Eric and Scott had been evasive when she’d reminded them her three-month contract was coming to an end. Her two Doms hadn’t come right out and asked her to stay past the negotiated time. What would happen after? Both had told her time and again how much they loved her. She couldn’t imagine her life without them.

“Here we are,” Eric announced as the limo turned the corner onto the street where her mother’s house resided.

Her jaw dropped at the change she saw in the tiny place. The Texas sun was low in the sky on this cloudless Sunday night, but the new landscaping around the space created a phenomenal curb appeal.

“When did you do this?” she asked, grabbing both their hands and squeezing as the stretch parked in front of her home. She spotted a couple of neighbors peering out their windows.

Eric kissed her cheek. “You’ve been busy with the paintball event. We were busy with this.”

She sighed, feeling her heart leap in her chest. “And running a billion-dollar company, too.”

“That’s easy, baby.” Scott stroked her hair. “The job we love is making you happy. How are we doing so far?”

“Amazing.”

They all got out of the vehicle.

Megan stood outside her mother’s home with Eric and Scott on either side of her. The lighting and flowers made it look like a showplace. Even the formerly cracked driveway had been repaired. “I can’t believe you’ve done this for me.”

“You like, little one?” Eric asked.

“I love it.” She leaned into him. “How did you get this done so fast?”

“Wait, baby,” Scott said. “There’s more to show you. This is just the gift wrapping.”

“There’s more?”

“Come and see,” Eric said, motioning her forward.

Walking up to the front porch, the leaky overhang was gone. In its place was a covering that offered protection from the changeable weather conditions normal for Texas.

“This looks like the cover of a magazine,” she told them, feeling overwhelmed and happy. Three crisp white rocking chairs sat to the right of the front door—one for each of them. “Why did you do this?”
