“That was a first for me.” Chance touched her on the cheek.
Jaris laughed. “Then you can call me a beginner, too.”
“A first for me too, guys. Not just anal sex. Having two men at the same time. I’m glad my first was with you.”
Jaris kissed her shoulder. “You can’t imagine how much that pleases me, baby.”
“Me too, bro. I love that we were her first.”
“Beginners or not, you both sure knew what you were doing. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”
“A new beginning for our lives together.” Jaris ran his hand down her sides.
Chance looked at her, running his fingers over her face. “A new beginning for our love to grow.”
“And a new beginning for our sex education together.” She giggled, enjoying the afterglow with Chance and Jaris.
Chance smiled. “I love you, sweetheart.”
“And I love you.”
“I love you, baby, but I think we could all enjoy a shower together.”
“You read my mind, Sir.”
Chapter Eighteen
Kaylyn walked out of the guest bedroom’s bathroom just as Jaris returned with Sugar from his latest shift of guard duty.
Chance sat up in the bed and yawned. “What time is it?”
“Go back to sleep,” she answered. “It’s just after eight.”
“Yes, it is. And daylight is burning.” Jaris laughed. “You planning on getting up any time soon, buddy? The whole house is up. Even the boys are almost done with their chores.”
“Don’t pick on him, Jaris. Remember he only got back from his last shift at four this morning. He’s exhausted.”
Jaris pulled her in close. “Guard duty wasn’t the only thing that took away our sleep, baby.”
“I would gladly give up sleep for the remainder of my life to have more nights like last night with you, sweetheart.” Chance swung his legs off the bed and Annie came up beside him.
“Since you are determined to get up. I really would like to go see my dogs and get a look at Sammie’s new puppies. Lyle told me that they are adorable. Plus, I need to assess Bayless’s dogs. If they aren’t up to my standard, I will have to call our clients to delay them coming here.”
“Honey, you can’t.” Chance stood, pulling on his jeans and T-shirt. “Don’t forget Doc’s orders.”
Jaris nodded. “One week. That’s all. You’ve got to be patient.”
“I’m just going to take a look and I’m not training. And you both know that I’m always in control of those dogs.”
“But you don’t know Bayless’s dogs, sweetheart.” Chance came up beside her and Jaris. “With his type of training they are likely unpredictable. You need to wait.”
“That’s exactly why I’m going. I am not taking any chances with our clients. You both are great dog trainers, but I’m the one who has been doing this for years. I’m the expert. I don’t want any of our clients getting hurt because of your overprotective stubbornness. Now if you want to go with me, that will be fine, but I am going.”
“Sounds like you’re the stubborn one to me, baby.” Jaris turned to Chance. “But she’s right. She is the expert.”
“Okay, but you will stay close to me and Jaris, understand?”
“My pleasure.”
