I am lying face down on the bed; my arms spread out over my head, my feet planted on the floor. His foot kicks out, spreading me, and eases into me. The feeling is intense. His hips move around in a circle while he thrusts in and out. His fingers grip my hips tightly. He starts to pick up speed; I can hear the breath hissing through his teeth. “Fuck, Olivia,” he groans. I fist handfuls of the comforter as he continues to pick up speed, thrusting harder and harder.

He abruptly pulls out of me and pushes me farther up the bed so my entire body is touching the mattress, rolling me back over so that I’m lying on my back. He spreads my legs apart and slams into me. “Fuck!” I cry out. He starts to pick up speed again, rolling his hips. Leaning down, he nips at my lower lip. I groan; the pleasure is indescribable. I can feel myself start to convulse, and my legs start to twitch. “Not yet,” he teases and pulls out. What? He lies down on his back and motions me to get on top.

I get up to position myself over him and lower myself down. Holy fuck, this feels amazing. “Grab hold of my hands,” he commands. We soon find a rhythm and move with a perfect cadence. “Shit,” he hisses through gritted teeth. I can feel myself getting close. I let go of his hands and place them on his chest. I lean down and nip at his earlobe. He flexes and moves his hips in a circle, bouncing me up in the air. I sit back up and continue moving my hips back and forth. I start to feel the buildup of my impending orgasm again; I can’t hold on any longer. My back arches and I come, calling out his name. He thrusts two more times and comes violently inside me.

Exhausted, I collapse on top of him. While we lay there together trying to catch our breath, I skim my fingers across his chest. He groans a happy, content sound. I roll off to the side, limp from exertion.

“You were right,” Chase murmurs.

“Right about what?” I ask snuggling against his chest

“The bed. Tested and approved.”

I awaken suddenly, my body lurching forward so I’m sitting straight up. It’s dark, and I’m disoriented. Oh, I’m in my new apartment. The last thing I remember is being sprawled across the bed, but here I am under the blankets. Chase is sleeping beside me. What time is it? I look over at the clock, one of the many things Chase stocked the apartment with. Three am. I still have three hours before I need to get up. I find my cell phone to make sure it’s charged. My alarm is set on my phone, and I don’t want to be late for work.

I come back into the bedroom to find Chase sitting up in bed. “I woke up and you weren’t here.”

“I went to make sure my iPhone was charged.”

“Come back to bed.”

I realize I’m still naked. I walk over to the pile of clothing on the floor. I slip his t-shirt over my head and lay down next to him, my back to his front. He threads his arm underneath mine and pulls me close. “Go to sleep, beautiful,” he whispers in my ear. I soon fall back into a peaceful slumber.

Weeks go by, and the summer draws to an end. Chase and I fall into a happy rhythm. Most of my work days are spent near the city, enabling me to spend some quality time with him. I meet him in his office, and we find a quiet place to have lunch. Sometimes we eat, sometimes we don’t.

I love my new job at NOAA. It’s everything I wanted and dreamed about while in school. Who would have thought I could love going to work every day? I am outside all the time, and I’m doing my part to help the environment.

I absolutely love my apartment. I am so glad I let Chase talk me into moving to the city. He is right; there is so much more to do and to see here. The nightlife is amazing, and we have already found a favorite restaurant within walking distance from our apartments.

About a week before Labor Day, Chase offers to take me to Central Park. We had such a fantastic time when we last went, how can I resist? The park is so massive; we only saw a small part of it when we were there after his father’s party. Thinking about that afternoon brings back pleasant memories.

It’s late Saturday morning. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Neither one of us feels like driving, so we take the subway. After a few changes between lines, we wind up at the stop below the Museum of Natural History. “Oh, let’s go in. I love this museum,” I gush to Chase.

“Sure. Whatever you want to do.” I love his shy smile.

I race up to the museum attendant and pay for both of us bef

ore he has a chance to. I look back, and he has a disproving look on his face. I give him my big I-win smile. He rolls his eyes and playfully shakes his head. Ha.

I head to the first floor, and he follows behind me. I start out in the biodiversity room since the Milstein Hall is a giant circle. I jump from one exhibit to the next, reading all of the information as I go. I should have this memorized by now I have come here so often. My favorite part of the museum is the marine exhibit. There is a giant whale that hangs from the ceiling in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life and different types of marine life in the Hall of Biodiversity. I continue to walk around, not thinking that Chase might be bored. I stop in my tracks and turn around toward him. “Is there anywhere in the museum you would like to go?”

“My dad used to take Preston and me to see the dinosaur exhibit,” he suggests.

“Oh, I like that exhibit too. Let’s go.” He turns to me with this cute childlike smile on his face. I grab his hand and head toward the stairs. The dinosaur exhibit is located on the fourth floor. I rarely come up here so it’s like I’m seeing it for the first time.

After climbing three flights of stairs, we make it to the dinosaur section. It’s a giant square with different rooms holding different types of dinosaurs. Chase leads me around the rooms. He is now the energetic one, stopping to read each information card. Every once in a while, he stands and stares at a particular skeleton. It is adorable to watch.

We continue to wander around other sections of the museum. There are some new exhibits that have just been added that I have never seen. As we walk, I realize that I’m hungry. I look at my watch. Holy crap, it’s two thirty. I turn to Chase. “Stop for a bite?”

“We could grab something near the park. Are you ready to go?”

“Whenever you are.”

“I thought we could rent bicycles and take a ride around the entire park.”

“That sounds like fun. It’s been years since I’ve ridden a bicycle in the park.” I’ll be able to see so much more in a shorter period of time this way.

We make our way out of the front entrance of the museum and head towards 79th Street, which goes into the park. I spot a food truck selling yummy sandwiches, which is perfect food on the run. I point it out to Chase. We each get a sandwich and take a seat on a bench in front of the park.
