Ella outright gawked.

In pants, his ass looked good. Out of pants, her fingers twitched to feel his muscles flexing as he thrust into her. Thoughts raced through her, as did hesitations. How did he undress so easily, as if getting nude in front of others was an everyday occurrence? She openly gaped at his masculine beauty and jolted under the assault of the wicked images invading her mind.

She might be uneasy.

She also wanted him.

One night of fun—do this!

While she could allow her nervousness to overtake her, she refused to go there. She straightened her spine, reminding herself of the rule she’d set in place the night she’d left Savannah. She’d never have believed a radio show would alter her life in such a big way, but it had.

For six months, live your life like you’re going to die at the end of it. That had been the challenge. Such a funny thing to listen to, but the challenge had spoken to her and she had asked herself, How different would I live if I thought I had only six months left? That day, sitting in her car outside of work, it’d taken her only minutes to realize she’d live her life differently.

She craved boldness—to not think of what-ifs or what could be, and simply do everything she wished without regret. Maybe she had needed to hear the challenge to gain strength, or maybe it was all just crazy, but she’d mentally accepted the dare.

That very day she’d quit her job. That night she’d gone home—with a police escort—and packed all that was left of her belongings and headed for Vegas. If she had only six months to live, would she want to spend her days in the same city as Rory? No. If she had only those months left, would she do something so crazy as move to Sin City? Yes.

She smiled, thinking about how much the decision had changed her life. After she had moved into a total dive to get away from Rory, with only a small suitcase of her personal belongings, for six long months she’d been miserable. Now, four months later, she stood in Nevada with a drop-dead-gorgeous naked man.

Not just any man—a man made of every fantasy she could’ve dreamed up. If she had only two more months left to live, would she get into the hot tub and see where this naughty adventure would take her?

Damn right I would.

With the thought solidified in her mind, she gazed over the firm lines of Kyler’s masculine body. She wasn’t blind to the fact that everything he did seemed to be geared in a way that made her act first. As though he wouldn’t do more unless she outright showed she wanted it.

For whatever reason, he needed to see her strength. And his actions made her feel stronger—powerful, even. She’d made this choice to join him tonight, and she wanted this man for one night of sexy, delicious sex.

With shaky hands, she reached for the ribbon that held her dress to her neck and yanked it free, then stripped out of her lingerie. As the warm air brushed against her puckered nipples, Kyler turned to her, holding the two glasses of wine.

His gaze smoldered with a heat she wanted to lose herself in. He gave her a slow once-over and then his eyes met hers. While they were heated, he also seemed to have controlled the lust. He smiled gently and offered her the wineglass. “For you, my lady.”

After she accepted the glass, he headed toward the hot tub. Perhaps he attempted to make her feel like being naked was no big deal, so she was comfortable. His plan worked; his nonchalance settled the racing of her heart and eased the shaking of her hands, making her feel a lot less naked.

She took a big sip of her wine for bravery, reminding herself that if she did die in two months, this was surely a memory she’d be glad to take with her. Watching Kyler enter the hot tub, she climbed the wooden steps. He offered his hand, and she slid her fingers into his, loving the way his firm grip held hers.

Her foot dipped into the water and she moaned in happiness. By the time her entire body dropped into the water, her eyes fluttered closed. She forced them open as he tugged her closer, pulling her onto his lap.

God, she loved how he touched her—without hesitation—with passion. There was no restraint as he yanked her right on top of him, like she belonged there. That confidence spoke to her and heated her up far more than the water.

“Feels nice, hmm?” he murmured.

The jets pushed water against her body and her knees pressed against the bench he sat on. As his erection settled against the junction between her thighs, she didn’t know if he meant his body against hers, or the hot tub. It didn’t matter. Both felt incredible. “Feels amazing.”

His gaze fixed on her and he took a big gulp of his wine, finishing half the contents in one swallow. After he lowered the glass, he said, “You have unique eyes. At the wedding, they looked blue. Now they look green.”

His arm wrapped around her back, holding her in place, as she didn’t doubt the water would have her floating away. “They change color, depending on what I’m wearing. It’s weird, I know.”

Slowly, he shook his head. “Weird is not the word I’d use to describe them. Beautiful, yes.”

Her cheeks warmed, and he seemed to have noticed, if his grin had anything to say about it. She simply wasn’t used to compliments. And it was nice. He took another sip of his wine and then asked, “So, you’ve never had casual sex, have you?”

“No.”

“Interesting.” He arched a brow, cocking his head. “Tell me why you decided to come up here with me tonight?”

Taking a big sip of her wine, she cringed at the dry taste and then replied, “Isn’t it obvious?” You make me freaking hot!
