“It’s hard for me to give her away, and I only do so because I know you’ll treasure her like the rare jewel she is.”

Miles nodded. “Yes, sir. I will.”

My father squeezed our hands, then walked to his seat next to my mother, who was already crying.

Before we turned to the pastor, Miles gazed down into my eyes and gave me the most brilliant smile. “You are too beautiful for words to describe.”

“You look pretty handsome yourself,” I replied.

When Miles leaned down to kiss me, the pastor cleared his throat and whisper-yelled, “Not yet! Not yet!”

Miles winked, and my stomach flipped like I was on a rollercoaster.

As the pastor spoke, I felt Miles’s thumb moving over my hand, causing an insane amount of butterflies to fly around in my stomach. I couldn’t think of anything but his touch, that motion of his skin on mine. When we faced each other to say our vows, I lost my battle and started to cry. Miles wiped my tears away a few times, which only led to more stomach flips and heartbeats skipping.

Finally, the words we’d waited for longer than we cared to think about were spoken. “You may now kiss your bride.”

Miles cupped my face with his hands and leaned down. Before he pressed his mouth to mine, he whispered, “Mine. You’re mine.”

“Yes,” I replied as our lips met. The kiss was soft and sweet, but I felt the love pour into me like a rush of energy. When he slightly withdrew, we both smiled. Then it was my turn.

“Mine,” I said, reaching up and giving him one last quick kiss.

Miles nodded. “Always have been, always will be.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. Warner!”

Our family and friends went wild. Rich, who had been Miles’s best man, let out a holler while his two Marine Corps buddies did the same. Then they both made a beeline to Heather and Patty and walked them back down the aisle.

Miles and I requested a few minutes alone before we posed for pictures and headed out to the reception tent. After everyone cleared out, we stayed inside. Miles took my hand and walked me into the office and shut the door. I wanted to rip his uniform off because he looked so damn delicious.

Before I had a chance to say anything, he pressed his mouth to mine and kissed me. His hand cupped my breasts, making me let out a moan.

Then he ripped his mouth away and took a step back. “Fucking hell, Kyns. I want to lift that dress up and fuck you right here.”

I dug my teeth into my bottom lip and forced myself to keep my mouth shut. I had been tempted to tell him to do it.

“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on…and that dress, I got hard the moment I saw you.”

Slapping his chest, I laughed. “Well, I’m pretty sure I had a mini orgasm when I saw you in that uniform.”

He growled and took another step closer. “I want you.”

“Miles, not in the barn with me dressed in my wedding dress and you in your dress blues.”

“Why not? I can be quick.”

I felt my insides clenching with need. “I want a baby.”

Miles grinned. “If that was your attempt to make my dick go down, it didn’t work. I want a baby too, so we should really practice that.”

With a giggle, I tilted my head and regarded him. “Are you being serious? Because I was.”

He finger-twirled one of my curls by my face. “I’m being dead serious. I want to start a family as soon as you do.”

“Really?”

“Yep.”

“Okay, now I really want you to fuck me.”

“In the barn? In your wedding dress?” his finger trailed into my cleavage, and I gasped when his tongue licked back up my skin.

“Yes. Please.”

I started to lift my dress while he unbuckled his pants. The knock on the door made us both freeze.

“Miles, Kynslee, we need to get moving. We’re running behind on the scheduled time for pictures. We don’t want your dress to be wrinkled now, do we?”

“Heather!” Miles and I both whispered at the same time, silently cursing her timing.

Miles buckled up again while I smoothed my dress. He took my hand in his and said right before he opened the door, “Maybe she is psychic after all.”

We made our way over to the photographer for a few quick photos, then headed to the tent. I walked in and gasped again. I had thought the barn looked amazing, but how my mother and Jenn had thrown this reception together in such a short amount of time left me speechless.

White fabric had been draped from the top of the tent with three long wooden tables set up down the middle. White lanterns hung down with faux candles lit in each one, giving off such a soft beautiful glow. The decorations on the tables were kept simple. Beautiful greenery down the middle, with different sized white candles meandering in between it. White plates that we had rented from a party company graced the tables along with beautiful glassware. All of it was stunning. I fought to keep the tears back as Miles took my hand and led us into the tent where we would celebrate our marriage with our family and friends.
