I nodded over to the painting leaning against the armoire in the corner. He stood and fell back on the bed, laughing because his legs were still shaky from our all out love binge. Then he tried again, barely made it this time and somehow staggered to the large painting while I giggled at him. He turned it around and stared for so long I was certain he hated it. I’d drawn and then painted it from memory. Lasso, shirtless with a cigarette hanging from his lips, his Reckless Bastards vest hanging from a finger over his back, his gorgeous face in profile. It looked like a man who didn’t want to leave his woman, looking back at her with love and desire in his eyes.

“Damn Rocky, that’s incredible.” He looked at me, smiling like a big kid. “You did this?”

I nodded, shy and proud.

“You really do love me.”

“Thought we covered that already, cowboy. Try to keep up here.”

I watched his big body eat up the short steps back to bed with a predatory gleam in his eyes. “That painting is magnificent. I feel like I need a new house and new furniture just to hang it up.”

“You’re kidding, right? It’ll go perfect right above the sofa on that wall. I would have had it hung before you got home but this belly proved to be too big an obstacle.”

“Don’t say that. I love your belly.” To prove it, he pressed a kiss so soft it brought a tear to my eye. When he looked up, Lasso’s blue eyes were suspiciously wet, but I didn’t comment on it. “Anything else?”

I laughed and pushed at his chest. “You’re a greedy fucker, aren’t you?”

“When it comes to you? All day, every fucking day, babe.”

“My asshole hurts,” I said, but I laughed. “I’ve never felt so fucking high, though. Think we can do it again sometime?”

“Fuck, yeah, we can. I’ll take your ass anytime you want. But you might wanna go clean up. Butt-fucking can get kind of messy.”

“Not moving from here. I’m too fucking boneless.” I kissed his collarbone. “You smell good.”

His hand went to my ass and squeezed. “That’s all you, babe. Flowers and sex.”

“There’s one more thing,” I told him. He was supposed to show up for my appointment earlier today but had obviously been busy getting a busted-up lip.

“I already know you love me.”

“Good because that’s not it. Since you never ever use it, I think we should name our son, Dallas.”

He sucked in a breath and those baby blue eyes turned dark blue, smooth like velvet and I couldn’t look away.

“Boy? We’re having a boy,” he said, voice filled with awe. “A boy. Dallas.”

“You said that already.”

“Give me a moment, woman. It’s not every day a man finds out his first born will be a boy.”

I knew he would be emotional about it because underneath his big bad biker, ex-military badass thing was the heart of a softy. I loved that damn softy.

“You’ll be a great daddy.”

His shoulders sagged in relief. “Fuck, yeah, I will.”

“I can’t wait to see you hold our son in your

arms.”

He smiled and smacked a kiss against my lips. “I guess we owe Big Boy a debt of gratitude. If he hadn’t been grabbing you that night, you might have left before I got a chance to hit on you.”

“Maybe you should thank Baby Dallas, since he’s the reason I showed up on your doorstep.”

“Babe, I don’t give a damn if it was the devil himself that gave me a second chance with you, I’ll always be grateful. You’re the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time and I can’t wait to start our life together.”

I wrapped my arms around his neck and grinned. “Together starts now, baby.”
