“Sold out?”

“I mean I’ve been visiting other shops in the area,” she shrugged. “Doing some recon on the competition. Seems like customers want a gypsy, even if I’m not one.” She shrugged. “I guess it’s an authenticity thing.”

“More like a visual thing,” I said, shaking my head. “Half these people wouldn’t know a true gypsy from a Halloween costume. But hey… wanna know something?”

She looked up at me, batting those beautiful eyelashes. “What?”

“It’s working for you.”

I stepped into her, sliding my arms around her delicate waist. Locking my wrists somewhere near the small of her back, as she relaxed and melted into me.

God. I’d been waiting for this all day.

“So what’s the plan?” she asked, sighing into my chest. “I hear you’re taking me out?”

“Uh huh.”

“Cool.”

“Sure is,” I said, tilting her face toward mine. Her scent was intoxicating. Sweet and fragrant, like vanilla icing. “But first I want that reading.”

Savannah pulled back a bit and smiled up at me. Her expression became even more gypsy-like. Almost diabolical.

“Step into my parlor,” she cooed.

“Said the spider to the fly?”

“Something like that.”

She took me by the hand and led me to the screened off area where I knew she did her readings. I let her guide me to a chair, then slide behind me. With a gen

tle push on my shoulders, I was sitting.

“What kind of reading would you like?” she whispered huskily, brushing her lips lightly against my ear.

“Ummm…”

Already I was at a loss. My whole body was suddenly alive again, remembering its need for her.

I held out my palm. Savannah took it gently between her hands, then lowered her lips to one side of my neck.

“Okay…”

She kissed me, and my whole body was on fire. Then she did it again and again, planting a series of hot, sizzling kisses up and down my neck, from my ear to my shoulder.

“You taste salty,” she giggled musically.

“Sorry. Been moving stuff all day.”

“No, it’s good,” she murmured. “You taste like a man.”

Everything was limp now: my shoulders, my arms. Even my head lolled back, to where I could feel her soft red curls brushing against one of my cheeks. It was heaven, floating in limbo like this. Feeling that wash of electricity sweep over me, as every one of my senses came alive.

“I’d better read you before I eat you,” Savannah breathed, tracing the tip of her tongue along the curve of my ear.

“Believe me, the feeling’s mutual,” I managed.

Somehow her hands had found their way to my shoulders. She was massaging me expertly, like she’d done such a thing all her life. Her strong hands clenching and unclenching, digging into my traps. Sliding down to squeeze the soreness out of my delts, before slipping back up again.
