“Hmmm, I’ll take a virgin strawberry daiquiri,” I said, doing a little dance in my seat because I could already taste the delicious strawberry drink.

“Virgin? Mami, you gotta have some fun tonight with papi,” the bartender joked.

Billionaire didn’t even crack a smile, but I did. I thought it was funny. I was into wine, but trust me, if I wasn’t carrying a baby inside of me, I would have definitely got an alcoholic drink. It was much needed.

“My baby is brewing inside of her. Get the beautiful lady a virgin strawberry daiquiri like she asked for, and I’ll take a Corona,” Billionaire said.

The bartender skipped off to make my drink. While he did that, I turned in my chair, wrapped my arms around Billionaire’s waist, and pulled him my way.

“You are so mean. He was just being funny. Am I or am I not going to have some fun with papi tonight?” I cooed.

“Something about a nigga laughing and joking with my shorty that I just don’t fuck with,” he said, and I rolled my eyes.

“You need to tell the bartender to get you two of those Coronas. You are so uptight,” I said and let him go.

“You don’t want me to have too many Coronas. I can’t even get my soldier hard with too much liquor in my system,” he said, grabbing his dick.

I laughed at him being so damn extra.

Five minutes later, we were served our drinks.

“In a few more months, that’s going to be you,” Billionaire said, putting his hand on my chin, so he could turn my head.

There was a pregnant woman standing by the pool, and she had a medium-sized stomach. I smiled, looking at her bump. I couldn’t wait until the day I started to show. My stomach was still so flat. I knew I would go crazy the first time I felt those little flutters in my stomach when the baby kicked.

“I can’t wait. I hope God gives us a boy. I want a handsome son who looks just like you,” I told him with a smile on my face.

Billionaire leaned over and kissed me on my lips before finishing his drink.

About five minutes later, they started a limbo contest, and it was hysterical to watch. A bunch of drunk people trying to limbo had me laughing to the point that tears were coming from my eyes. I had my phone out and was recording the whole thing. People were busting their behinds, trying to get under the pole. The thing is, the pole wasn’t even that low, which is how I knew they were sloppy drunk.

“I gotta piss. I can trust you to sit right here by yourself, or do I gotta bring you with me?” Billionaire asked.

“Boy, I am grown! Go. I’ll be sitting right here when you get back,” I told him.

“Aight, Ms. Grown. You just be yo’ ass still and be sitting right here when I get back. We can get in the water when I come back,” he said, followed by a kiss to my forehead, and then he left.

I followed him with my eyes until he disappeared, and then I continued to record the action. After taking a sip from my second virgin strawberry daiquiri, I tried to set it back on the table, but it spilled, and a lot of it got on my legs and my toes.

“Dang,” I groaned as I stood up from the chair I was sitting in.

There weren’t any napkins at the table, but there was a little sprinkler system not too far away that I could use to wash my legs off. Everyone was too busy participating in the limbo contest, or if they weren’t participating in it, they were standing around, watching the foolishness take place.

I was washing down my right leg, when all of a sudden, a woman ran up to me. When I turned to look at her, I noticed that she was crying. Her clothes were dirty, and she was beaten up pretty badly. I’m not going to lie, when I saw her, I jumped because she ran up on me, scaring the hell out of me. We weren’t that fa

r from the back of the hotel. All I saw was a battered woman who was breathing all heavy, and I could see the fear written all over her face.

“Ma’am… ma’am… May I please use your phone? My boyfriend just attacked me... please,” she said in a thick Spanish accent.

Her right eye was black and blue, and her knees were covered in cuts and bruises. Her arms were beaten up pretty badly too. Looking at her fingers, I saw a bunch of burns, so it was obvious that she was on drugs. I felt bad. As a woman, I couldn’t help but sympathize with another woman because this could have easily been me, my sister, my mother, or even a friend. Saying nothing, I just pulled my phone out of my purse. I unlocked it and passed the phone over to her.

“Do you mind if we stand over here? I need to call my mother,” she said, pointing to the side of the building, which was away from the chaos.

I looked around, thinking about how nobody was paying the two of us any attention. My gut instinct was telling me not to follow her to the side of the building, but I wanted to help this woman. The way that this man had beaten her, there was no doubt in my mind that he would kill her if he ever got his hands on her again.

“Okay,” I said.

She was still crying, and her body was shaking. We made it over to the side of the building, and before she could even start dialing on the phone, I saw a white van pulling up on us. Instantly, I knew what was about to take place.
