"That was my father's pen. He was so old fashioned about some things. Felt that disposable pens were bad environmentally."
"You're so sentimental, Drake."
He smiled. "I guess. So," he said and pulled me closer. "Tell me about what parts of my limits bothered you when you first read it. We can negotiate. I want you to feel completely secure when you sign."
I nodded. Then I stood up, extracting myself from his arms. I went to the desk against the wall and opened the two-page document to the second page where the signature lines were located.
"Is this where I sign?"
He came to me and stopped me, his hand on mine.
"Kate, you haven't answered my questions. You can't sign until we've gone through each item."
"I've already read this. I've thought about it ever since I received it." I signed my name.
"Kate," Drake said, his head tilted. "I know you were concerned about something. Tell me. I won't sign until you do."
"I trust you, Drake," I said, turning back to him and handing him the pen. "You won't hurt me. I'm OK with the agreement the way it is."
"What about this?" he said, pointing to the mention of anal sex. "And this?" He pointed to the reference to vaginal fisting.
"I trust you, Drake," I said again. "I know you'll keep me safe and only go as far as I can handle."
He just stared at me, shaking his head slightly as if he was surprised. Then, he took the pen from my hand and signed in the appropriate spot. He put the lid back on the pen and turned back to me, pulling me against his body, his arms around me, pressing my head against his shoulder.
"Oh, sweet Katherine," he said softly. "You surprise me. But you've made me very happy."
I looked up at him, into his eyes. "I want to make you happy."
He leaned down and kissed me, softly. It was so tender, it sent a surge of something through my body. I expected him to go all Dom on me and take me roughly as he said he would, but he didn’t.
He pulled me into the bathroom and took off my nightgown, staring at me as I stood naked before him.
"Your burn is getting worse." He went to his bag on the floor by the desk and pulled out a shaving kit. He came back to where I stood on the cool tiles of the bathroom floor. "Here," he said and removed a razor and some shaving cream. "I'm going to shave you and then I'm going to eat you and fuck you. Are you ready?"
"Yes," I said, my voice a bit quivery from excitement.
"Yes, what?" he said, looking at me, his expression a bit dark but I could tell he was forcing the look, and didn’t really mean it.
"Yes, whatever it is you want me to say."
"You signed the contract," he said, his eyes hooded. "What does it say?"
"Yes, Sir," I said, smiling just a bit.
"Don’t you smile when you call me Sir, or you'll ruin the whole effect. When we're together, I want you to consider us in scene. I'll call you either Katherine or slave, depending on how I feel. When you call me Sir, make sure it has a capital 'S'. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Sir," I said, fighting to keep a straight face but failing. "Why Katherine, if I may ask?"
"It's what I first knew you as – Katherine. It's more formal and will keep me in proper Dom headspace. I'll give you a bit of leeway at first with proper forms of address," he said and I could tell he was fighting a grin as well, "but if you continue to be saucy, I'll have to spank your delicious little ass. Do you understand?"
