“Fuck off.” I laugh.

“Come on, man. Shake what your momma gave ya.”

“I need to get to my girl and our families,” I tell him. “Oh, and Willow.”

He stops dancing and stares at me. “She’s here?”

“She is.”

“Cool.” He grabs a towel from his locker.

“You want to join us?” I ask him. What’s one more in the grand scheme of things?

He smirks. “Damn fucking right I do,” he says, heading for the showers.

Grabbing my phone, I text Paisley to let her know.

Me: Hey. Henderson is going to have dinner with us.

Paisley: Okay. I reserved a table for ten anyway to give us some breathing room.

Me: Something going on with him and Willow?

Paisley: ????

Me: He seemed awful interested once he found out she was here.

Me: That’s why I invited him.

Paisley: Interesting. I’ll see what I can find out.

Me: I’m headed to the shower. I’ll be out soon.

Tossing my phone in my locker, I grab a towel and run through a quick shower. I know I have a lot of people waiting on me.

“So, where are we going?” Henderson asks.

“I’m not sure. Paisley took care of it.”

“You didn’t ask her?”

“No.”

“What if you hate it?”

“Then I grab something on the way home, but my girl’s not going to book a reservation for a place I hate.”

“Pussy,” he quips.

“Hey, you want to come tonight or not?” I goad. “I’m sure any one of these other jokers would be happy to sit next to Willow. Maybe Miller?”

“No.” One word, which comes out like a growl, and I’m smirking. He’s into her.

“You ready?” I ask.

“Born ready.” He claps me on the shoulder. We grab our bags, tossing them over our shoulders, and make our way out of the locker room. Reporters are still swarming, and this is not something I’ve gotten used to yet.

“Henderson!” one calls out, and he stops and talks to them.
