“You’re my catnip, baby. I’m not going to miss a drop of anything,” Clay answered. “I have an entire list of things we need to do…starting with this.” He reached up and pulled Indi down until they were face to face. “You never let me kiss you before. Can I now?”

Indi’s heart flip-flopped. “All my kisses are for you.”

CHAPTER FIVE

A hard knock on the bedroom door sent Clay flying across the room in search of his gun. Shit, it wasn’t there. None of his clothes were there. He turned toward Indi, “Do you have a gun in here?”

Indi yawned. “I have a gun everywhere.”

“It’s been eighteen hours,” a voice yelled from the other side of the door. “How long do you expect me to wait? I thought we were getting rid of the body sometime within the first hour?” Another knock. “Sky has to pee, and I need to cum after listening to the two of you. Get out here!”

Indi stormed from the bed, completely naked, and yanked the door open. “You didn’t take Sky out to pee? You bastard!”

“Easy, Streaker,” Clay said from behind him as he wrapped a sheet around Indi’s waist. “For my eyes only, remember?” To Levi, he said, “Hand me my pants. Now.”

Levi grinned. “I already burned them. I was trying to get rid of the evidence.” He reached for Clay’s jeans as he goaded the bigger man, handing them over with a smartass grin. “Nice to see you survived the night. It sounded like he worked you over pretty damn good.”

“Fuck off,” Clay growled. “Sky, come!”

“Slow your roll,” Levi said. “Of course, I took the dog out, fed her, watered her, and I think we spooned a bit during the night. All and all, it was a good date.” Levi’s grin grew even bigger. “Nothing compared to yours, though.” Levi looked both men up and down. “You both look very thoroughly fucked, especially Indi.”

Clay stepped forward and punched Levi, busting his lip wide open. “You’re the man that held a gun to Indi’s head. I ought to fucking kill you!” Clay struggled into his pants after punching Levi. He was sticky. All over. It wasn’t an easy maneuver with all things considered.

“Don’t kill him, Clay. He’s an FBI undercover agent. More paperwork if he disappears.” Indi turned back to the bedroom and scrambled around for some clothes that Clay hadn’t ripped. He could hear the two men outside the door, arguing. “Seriously, Clay; don’t kill him! Hawk might not be able to cover it up!”

“I thought we were friends, you little fucker! You’re only worried about paperwork and somebody named Hawk?” Levi yelled back at him.

“You turned me into a drug mule. We’ve got a ways to go before we cross the friendship line, Levi,” Indi called as he made his way, fully clothed, back into the room.

“And I helped you kidnap and tie a man to your bed. We’re even.”

“I ought to punch you again,” Clay growled. He thought about it and then remembered how poorly the man had tied the ropes.

“Instead of punching, I think we have some things to discuss—like the fact that Levi is a federal agent, I’m a blind drug mule, Hollister is an innocent that’s been drug into a fucking hot mess, and part of my team is here…and Clay’s not straight. That’s a new one, too.”

“Nah, I would have never guessed,” Levi teased.

Clay rolled his eyes and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Give me the recap—quick version—of what the fuck you’ve gotten my man involved with. We need to finish it and let me get him back home.”

“Maybe this is home,” Levi goaded, still pushing Clay.

“It’s not,” Indi answered quickly. “Not anymore.”

Levi eyed the two of them as he held a napkin to his split lip. “Okay, we’ve been tracking one of the biggest drug cartels in the United States. We’re getting close…as in one of the top five in control. He’s known as the Doctor. I’m undercover on his team, trying to gather as much information as I can. We’re missing something.”

“And why exactly was Indi a drug mule for the FBI?” Clay asked. “Help me understand and let me stress how important your answer is.”

“He was supposed to get caught at the airport. We planned to put him in a safe house until this mess wrapped up. He’d been fine until his confrontation with Leonard. All bets were off after that. Leonard wouldn’t shut the fuck up about the blind guy with the killer dog. I did it to try and keep Indi safe.”

“He hates that,” Clay countered. “Don’t do it again. Indi can take care of himself.”

Indi’s heart swelled so large he feared it would burst.

Of course, his heart wasn’t the only thing swelling.

Clay rubbed his hands together. “Okay, let’s come up with a plan. I need my man home.”
