There will be a lot more going into each other’s mouths. No point in being squeamish about a little food.

But I can’t seem to find my regular appetite, as delicious as the food is.

I feel…nervous for what feels like the first time in my life.

Excitedly nervous, not nervous in a bad way. More like impatiently nervous.

Willing the future to hurry up and get here so I can have everything I’ve always wanted already.

The house, the family. The wife.

Sheree asks me a dozen times what’s wrong, but I assure her there’s nothing wrong.

I watch her as she eats, and when I know she’s only eating just to make me feel better because there’s so much of everything, I suggest a bath.

“I can wash your hair, or we can just…” I suggest, noting her running her hands over her belly.

“We can just what?” she grins, raising both her eyebrows.

“We could just soak in the tub,” I tell her, grinning and laughing when she says that’s the best idea yet.

“I’m not complaining, Professor Grayson. But I am a little saddle sore from this afternoon’s lesson,” she says, looking quite serious until she sees how concerned I look.

“Sore in a good way,” she whispers, letting her newly naked foot travel up my leg, resting in my lap until she’s stroking me through my pants.

“Maybe I could do something for you instead?” she suggests, making me take a sharp breath in as I feel both her tiny feet work wonders on me suddenly.

“Maybe you could teach me something?” I suggest, trying to sound as innocent as her but coming off sounding like I know exactly what I want.

And knowing she can’t wait to do it for me either.

THIRTY-SIX HOURS LATER

I’ve never slept so well, but I was up early before Sheree. Onto the real estate office to finalize the deal on the country house.

Sheree on the other hand enjoys her sleep, I’m discovering. But I understand too that she has plenty of reason to need rest after the past few days.

The end of college is a big deal for any student.

The end her favorite Professor’s been putting into her since? Even more so.

She shuffles into the kitchen wearing nothing but my Letterman jacket. A staple for her now around the house when she’s naked.

In our bed. In our bathroom. Or the kitchen where I’m making breakfast.

I could really get used to this. I already have, and I love it, every second of it.

Kissing her good morning and squeezing her close, I watch her stifle a yawn as I toss pancakes and sizzle some bacon.

The sun is shining for once, and there’s a break in the snow and ice for a few hours yet.

More than enough time to head out to the country house.

Our new home.

I’ve packed up a bunch of things already, in case she wants to stay out there starting today, but I totally get if she wants to come back to town as well.

The agent was surprised when I called him Sunday, making sure the place was still available.

Vowing he’d have his deposit first thing Monday, which he has now.

“I thought we might take a drive this morning?” I suggest after we’ve sat a while.

I’m still snacking on crispy bacon, sipping coffee, and filling myself up with my favorite dish of all, my woman.

Looking at her, whether we’re chatting or just hanging out. I really could do it all day and have for a day and two nights so far.

The only break from the house and our own bodies was to get our boxes from campus.

Not a place I plan on visiting again anytime soon, and I know Sheree feels the same.

“A drive?” she asks, sounding suspicious, cocking her brow and glancing out the window.

“Where would we need to go in three feet of snow?” she asks, smiling. Like she can read my mind.

“Oh, just someplace. Maybe out in the country for a bit… ya know? Change of scenery. Fresh air,” I try to explain but my beaming smile betrays me in the end.

She knows something is up but plays along, and within the hour we’re heading along the freshly plowed roads that lead us to our own private one.

The estate agent was good enough to have our road plowed as well, giving us clear access.

Taking the road up to the house, I can feel Sheree tensing up, then gasping once she catches sight of the huge red barn and then the house itself.

“You didn’t… Tell me you haven’t?” she shrieks finally, gripping my arm so hard I can hardly keep the car straight.

“Yeah,” I announce casually, feeling so happy when I see her face lighting up. “I kinda did.”

Squealing with delight, disbelief, and a hundred other positive emotions, Sheree leaps from the car and I join her.

She hugs my arm so tight, begging me to show her around as I realize that most of this is new to me too.
