I smile to myself. “Oh, I know. And I wouldn’t change a thing, would you?”

Ethan grins. “No. I don’t suppose I would. At least your dad will be around to help us out.”

“Yeah, I think if we ever wanted to, we could just ditch all the kids on him and he’d happily steal them away from us.”

Ethan laughs. “No doubt. He loves them just as much as we do, doesn’t he? Let’s hope he can take on some babysitting duties every now and then. I still want to be able to take my beautiful wife out for dinner.”

I giggle as he kisses my neck. Ten years on and he still makes me feel so young and wild. It’s one of the reasons I love our relationship. Age doesn’t matter between us because we’re soulmates. That’s how we’ve created this incredible, beautiful, crazy, chaotic life together. There have been some tough times, but we’ve taken them on hand in hand. We’ve made it through because we have each other.

“I love you,” I whisper to Ethan. He leans in to kiss me gently.

“I love you too, baby. So much.”

We stand together, his arms wrapped around me as we watch our kids play and thrive. This is it. Absolute perfection. We’ve had so many good times, and there’s still so much to look forward to.

And I’m going to savor every moment.
