I kicked him beneath my desk.
“What?” he mouthed in surprise and turned to look at me. Then he realized why I did it and snorted. “Don’t worry. Off limits. I know.”
Madison looked between Colten and me, and confusion was written all over her face. “Is everything alright?” she asked when she set the cups down on my desk.
“Everything is perfect,” I said, flashing Colten a warning stare.
“Yeah.” He smiled at Madison. “Everything is perfect. Well, I guess I’ll get going.” He got up. “I can’t let those children be without any supervision on the site, can I?”
“You’re their babysitter, after all,” I joked and watched him walk out while muttering some curses. I chuckled and looked at Madison. “He’s always such a cry baby.”
She was grinning. “I noticed. Is he always carrying that construction hat around with him?”
“Yeah. They are inseparable. They vowed never to be without each other again.”
She began laughing, and my eyes fell on her boobs bobbing up and down as she laughed. I swallowed hard.

Colten Quinn got out of Grant’s office and left Grant and me all alone. I’d been pretty tense whenever we were left alone since last night.

“How did you decide to start this company?”
“Well, we shared the same vision and had the initial capital to start with. Each one of us has his own unique skills that contributed to what LQT is today.”
