“She’s fine?”
“Yeah.”
He burst into laughter.
“What are you laughing about, man?”
He sat down on the chair but continued to move his hardhat between his hands. “As I said, I know you, Grant. You like the girl. I heard she does her job well. I also heard you two keep staying together late each day. All alone.”
I sighed and moved my hand through my hair again. Maybe I could tell him about Madison. He would hear about it sooner or later.
“Okay. Fine. I’m hung up on Madison and I can’t shake it. Okay? Are you fucking satisfied?”
Colten smirked. “Really? So she’s that good?” he said it suggestively.
“Careful,” I warned him. “Madison is much more than just for fucking.”
“Then what it is about her that makes you so crazy about her?”
I shook my head. “I don’t know, man. There are so many things. She is beautiful, smart, hard working, and ambitious. Whenever she smiles I’m fucking dumb. I can’t get her out of my head. We slept together last night for the first time and she was amazing.”
Colten sighed. “I guess you’re in too deep now.”
“Was that pun intended? If you only knew how deep I want to be in her. I want her all the time and I keep fantasizing about her. She’s definitely different from other women.”
Colten didn’t say anything for a few moments, just observing me with an amused grin on his face. “You know, I get that you are all hot for her and she fascinates you, but we need you to focus on this project. It’s fucking important for us not to screw it up.”
“I know. You don’t need to remind me.”
“Yeah, but it wouldn’t hurt just to mention it. My advice to you is to commit yourself to this project for the time being, but get your kicks when you can.”

He laughed. “Yeah but don’t fuck this up. I want my big ass check, and my vacation. Remember you promised.”
“Colten, I know. And trust me, you’ll love wherever the hell Oliver and I send you.”
Madison knocked on my door and entered, walking in with coffee for us both. She was dressed in gray pants that hugged her gorgeous ass and slim legs all too tight, and I noticed the way Colten’s eyes glimmered when he checked her out.
I kicked him beneath my desk.
“What?” he mouthed in surprise and turned to look at me. Then he realized why I did it and snorted. “Don’t worry. Off limits. I know.”
Madison looked between Colten and me, and confusion was written all over her face. “Is everything alright?” she asked when she set the cups down on my desk.
“Everything is perfect,” I said, flashing Colten a warning stare.
“Yeah.” He smiled at Madison. “Everything is perfect. Well, I guess I’ll get going.” He got up. “I can’t let those children be without any supervision on the site, can I?”
“You’re their babysitter, after all,” I joked and watched him walk out while muttering some curses. I chuckled and looked at Madison. “He’s always such a cry baby.”
She was grinning. “I noticed. Is he always carrying that construction hat around with him?”
“Yeah. They are inseparable. They vowed never to be without each other again.”
She began laughing, and my eyes fell on her boobs bobbing up and down as she laughed. I swallowed hard.
