She shook her head. She dabbed the corners of her eyes, praying the eye liner was still intact. “No. Maybe another time. Not tonight. Tonight, is about the future. Not the past.”

He kissed on the forehead. “If that’s what you want.” He threaded his fingers through hers. “Come on. Let’s get back to the party. Someone might want their coat back.” He laughed.

Abby couldn’t help but giggle. If they knew what she had just done between their coats, they might be happy to leave them behind.

Cole turned off the light as they left the closet behind.

Abby

The cocktail reception lasted much longer than Abby expected, but she realized Deacon and Cole were having fun finding places where they could sneak off with her. She loved it. The dark corners. The places where they could be caught. It was dangerous and sexy. She’d never been this daring.

She knew she had crossed a line. She also knew she wasn’t interested in stepping back over it.

Deacon was listening to the CEO of ComTech explain his new philosophy on acquisitions. Abby tried to keep up with the conversation, but she kept catching Cole out of the corner of her eye. He was equally as distracting as Deacon was.

Deacon slipped his hand snugly against her hip. “Good talking to you, Andy. See you tomorrow?”

“I’m going to the breakfast on global integration. Will I see you there?”

Deacon looked at Abby. “I think I have plans in the morning with this one.” He smiled.

“Oh, well I’ll see you later in the day. Looking forward to hearing the big announcement.”

She realized Andy was immediately uncomfortable, but it made Deacon all the more sexier that he didn’t care. He wanted everyone to know he was there with her, and she knew they’d be together in the morning. He had proclaimed it in public. There was no other way to look at it.

She bit her lip. God, she wanted that. She wanted to wake up with him. To wake up between Cole and Deacon.

Cole waited for them in the lobby at the elevator. He had loosened the tie on from his neck. It draped against the planes of his chest. Abby inhaled. He was ridiculously sexy.

“Andy Gallagher have anything interesting to say?” he asked Deacon.

“Hell no. He wanted to talk global expansion again.”

“Standard. This party would have been a total waste of time if it weren’t for you.” He looked at Abby and she blushed.

Had she given them something too? Did what they shared mean as much to these men?

They walked into the elevator and Cole inserted his card that would give them access to the private suite atop the resort’s highest tower.

“Did you enjoy the reception, sweetheart?” Deacon asked.

She nodded. “It was different than I expected.” She watched the numbers over the doors as they climbed toward the penthouse.

“And what did you expect?” Cole prodded.

“That we might leave a lot sooner,” she responded softly.

“Why would we do that when it was so much fun making you come all over that damn ballroom?” Deacon growled, pulling her into his arms.

The elevator dinged. The doors opened wide.

“Shall we?” Cole asked.

Her heart beat fiercely. This was it.

Everything before this moment was foreplay. This was the night when she gave herself to both of them.
