“Let’s go and watch the guys from the front. I can’t really see Phoenix from here, and I’m thirsty.”

Taking my arm, we about-turn and jump down the few steps leading away from the stage. How Thalia knows where she’s going is beyond me because I can’t see a damn thing. It’s pitch black with flashes of light from within the club, every time the door at the end of the corridor opens.

“Thalia...” I trail off. My breathing is becoming uneven with the panic welling up inside me. I can’t do this. The walls are closing in. All the time I’m putting one foot in front of the other while I cling to Thalia.

She opens the door and pulls me into the actual club. We’ve come out close to the bar, which isn’t too crushed with people. Because of Deception performing on stage everyone is pushing forward and dancing.

I’m trying to get myself centered when Thalia shoves a bottle of water into my hand. “Drink.”

I guzzle the water down, which helps quell the panic I’m feeling. Ever since being a small child and getting locked in the attic, I’ve had a fear of the dark. I’d gone up there to hide from the boy next-door who I’d seen arrive with his parents. He’d looked up to my bedroom window the minute he’d stepped from his father’s car. He gave me the chills. Still does if I’m honest. He always watches me…he just stares…constantly. My parents had no idea I was hiding up there, and closed then locked the door. It had been two hours later when they’d discovered where I was, but by then I’d been in major panic mode. So now every time I’m in the dark, my panic attack kicks in.

Thalia is the only one of my friends who knows about my hang-up and the reason why. Creepy Drew. I shudder.

“I was about to ask if you’re feeling better, but I think I’ll wait.” Thalia pulls me closer to the glass and chrome bar before pushing me down onto one of the bar stools.

My breathing has actually started picking up again so I look around, starting with the hottie behind the bar. Mmm, I wouldn’t mind him making me feel better.

“Hmm! I see you’re finally feeling better.” She grins at me, having a good look at the guy who is tending bar. “Nice ass.”

“Not as nice as Reece’s.” I smirk, and without meeting her eyes, I look toward the stage…and sigh. Will I eve

r get over Reece? He’s so damn sexy with his long legs hidden behind denim, leading up to his tight ass and package. And what a package it is too.

Licking my lips, my gaze wanders up to the waistband of his jeans and can just make out the top of the pistol tattoos he has on that sexy ‘V’ of his. The tattoos end so damn close to his cock and just the thought of them and how he reacted when I licked around them is enough to have me wet, and aching. He’d been standing at the foot of the bed, me on my hands and knees while I worked him over with my mouth. Donovan had been kneeling behind me on the bed, wedged between my thighs with his cock buried deep inside me. So fucking hot…God, it’s hot in here.

I move my tank away from the front of my body to cool down some, but with the images in my head mixing with the image of him up there on stage, I’ve no chance.

“You are so obvious…and stop squirming in your seat. It’s about to become embarrassing.” Thalia laughs before taking a deep swallow from her longneck.

Narrowing my eyes, I take in her flushed complexion. Never mind me, Thalia is getting hot and bothered herself, her eyes glued to Phoenix, and she looks ready to orgasm where she stands. “Yeah. Right. As though you’re not doing some squirming of your own.”

She laughs. “Do you blame me? All three of them are so hot.” She points toward the stage with her drink. “Phoenix is going to be hard as hell when he leaves the stage, so I’ll have to go and help him relieve all that tension.” She grins.

I push her slightly on the shoulder. “Did I really need to know that?” Chuckling, I finish my drink trying to avoid looking back toward the stage again. Unfortunately, my eyes have a mind of their own and travel back to the stage and Reece. I freeze. Is he looking at me? He seems to be looking directly at me, but it’s so dark, there’s no way…

“Callie?”

I hear Thalia calling my name, but I ignore her. I can’t move my eyes from the bad boy who’s holding my gaze. My breathing is erratic. My nipples are hard pebbles and I have a throb in a place that’s damn right inconvenient.

“Callie?”

Thalia snaps her fingers in front of my face, which draws my attention away from the smirking face of Reece and back to the grinning face of my best friend.

No words are needed. I grin and let out a whoosh of air. God, what this guy does to me.

Chapter 6

Reece

My dick’s about to punch through the zipper of my jeans after the hot stare I’ve just shared with her. She’s driving me crazy and causing a dent in my social life – as in, I’m unable to bring myself to actually fuck anyone else. My fist has had a lot of use recently thanks to the dip or two I had between her thighs. It doesn’t want to be inside anyone else, but Callie – the girl I screwed up with so badly.

With the images of Callie flashing before my eyes, my dick lengthens, needing relief. Closing my eyes, I try and breathe through the desperate throb, knowing the only way to get rid of it is in private.

Coming back to myself when the crowd starts to cheer and clap at the end of our gig, I leave all my gear on stage and walk off, ignoring Phoenix and Donovan. I want Callie. I need to explain – I’m not sure how – but I need to try and get her back, and quickly before I fuckin’ come in my jeans like a horny boy. I laugh – horny boy – I’m so turned on right now that I’ve decided to go after what or rather who I want instead of acting like an ass every time we’re in the same vicinity. In fact, if I grow any bigger I’m not sure I’ll fit inside her tight cunt.

Groaning, I look up and come to an abrupt stop. I’ve found Callie and she’s with him, again, Luke from Rebel Walking.

“No fucking way.”
