Where I would have thought I’d feel guilt for being with Ryder while he’s still married, there is none. Thinking back on it, I’m not sure why I made us wait.

I’ve no idea how the mind works, but I’m so glad I’m with him. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else the way I’ve been with Ryder.

“Babe?” Ryder questions, and I shake my head to look up at him. I didn’t even see him come in, so lost in my thoughts. My eyes travel up his body—he’s as naked as the day he was born—and heat fills my cheeks. I can’t believe that my body is practically humming for him.

As I look him over, he groans and his cock twitches.

“Enough of that. C’mon.” He lifts me into his arms, and carries me into the bathroom. “The water shouldn’t be too hot.”

He steps into the tub and lowers us both down into the warm water and bubbles. The water washes over us but it doesn’t crest the side of the tub—obviously—he was planning for both of us to be in the bath together as it has the perfect amount of water in it.

With slight rearrangement, I find myself resting between his legs, my back to his chest as he holds me snug around the waist.

I’ve never been more content.

“Are you all right?” he whispers against my ear.

“I really am fine.” I turn slightly and kiss his bicep. “In fact, I feel great and want to know when we can do that again.”

He groans as I wiggle against his hardening cock, which is squashed between us.

“Hold that thought.” His voice is heavy and I know he’s fighting back his desire. “You’re going to be sore after everything we just did.”

“Hmm,” I moan, stretching back so my breasts are visible above the water. “I have my ways to get what I want.”

He jerks against my back.

His fingers trail down to my pussy sending pinpricks of pleasure rippling through me. I gasp at the sensati

ons flooding through me, but as he presses around the entrance to my core, I hiss and try to move away from the pain.

“I hate it when you’re right,” I mumble, not happy at all.

“In this instance, I wish I was wrong.”

He kisses me on top of my head.

“Are you not angry at me for what I did?” I ask the question that I’ve been worrying about.

“I’m not angry—never. I wish I’d known you wanted to go as far as we did so we could have gone slower, and hopefully, caused you less pain.” His arms contract around my waist. “But I hope you realize that you’re not going to get away from me now.” He tilts my face up and gazes into my eyes. “I love you.”

My eyes fill with tears.

“I love you, too. I couldn’t have done everything that we have without being in love with you.”

“I know.” He gives me a smug smile.

I gently splash water at him.

He captures my hand between his. “No matter what happens in the future, please don’t forget how much I love you.”

What’s he telling me?

“Don’t look so worried.” He leans forward and seals his lips with mine, and all the worry that his last words evoked slowly start to disappear.
