Clenching my jaw, I stand and place a hard kiss to her lips before resting my forehead against hers. “You make me crazy, you know that?”

My eyes follow her tongue as she moistens her lips.

“Hmm.”

All my good intentions are about to fly straight out the window, but then she smiles and pushes me out of her space. I shudder as her one finger trails up the length of my erection.

“Tonight, big boy,” she laughs before clearing her throat. “Um, Ryder, perhaps you should go and have a cold shower while I check on the weather and roads.”

Closing my eyes, I inhale deeply. With a slow exhale, I open my eyes again and pin Dahlia with a heated glare.

“After today, you better be prepared, because I’ve no plans to let you out of that bed tomorrow . . . unless, of course, it’s to lie in front of the fire while I love you.” I smirk and head into the bedroom, hoping like hell she has more sense than to follow me right now.

Stripping my jeans down my legs, I sigh with relief when my cock has freedom. My balls are so damn full that it’s a wonder I can walk.

Tossing the jeans on the bed, I head to the bathroom and step into a cold shower.

Dahlia

Huddled in our jackets in the bustling town of Burlington, Ryder and I hold hands while strolling around College Str

eet and the variety of stores and restaurants.

It’s so beautiful with the snow and the lights on all the trees. Although it’s early afternoon the dark clouds have moved in, causing the town to feel like its early evening in a winter wonderland. The lights on the trees sparkle and create an enchanting atmosphere that makes me feel warm and cozy with the man beside me.

He hasn’t let go of me since we arrived here, and I’m not complaining. He fills me with so much love and hope for our future that, for once, I’m letting all my doubts fall away, and putting my trust in Ryder. I’m trusting him to not break my heart.

“Hey, babe. You hungry?” Ryder pulls me against his body and wraps his arm around my neck, before kissing the top of my head.

I wrap my arm around his waist. “I could eat.”

As we walk, neither of us makes a move to find somewhere. We’re both obviously content—I know I am when I’m wrapped up in him.

“What about Vermont Pub and Brewery? Liam told me their food isn’t to be missed,” he offers.

“I’m good with wherever you want to go. Just lead the way.”

I feel the smile against my forehead before he pulls away and takes my hand again. With a slight tug, he gets my feet moving toward the pub and as we walk up the steps to the entrance, I feel excited to be here.

Entering, the warmth hits us and until now I hadn’t realized just how cold it is outside.

The server greets us and we follow her to a cozy table for two by the window; she leaves us with menus after taking our drink order.

“This place is amazing, and the food looks delicious,” I comment when a server passes our table to deliver food to the table beside ours.

“It does. I’m glad I was listening when Liam mentioned this place.”

I snigger. “You tuned out . . . on Liam?”

“Just the same as you did once he started going on about Burlington. To be honest, I had no idea someone could know so much about a town they’d never lived in.”

“Well, he certainly loves it here.” I glance at the menu in my hand when my stomach growls.

Ryder chuckles. “Anything jumping out at you?”

“Mmm. The Border-style Chili with Onion and Jack Cheese sounds really good. I think I’ll go for the bowl and have a side order of sweet potato fries. What about you?”

“I’m going to have the same because that sounds damn good, and it’ll warm us up before going back outside.” He glances out the window. “It’s getting ready to snow again so, after we’ve eaten, we need to head back before we get stuck here.”
