At just the right moment, she bowed her head, taking it into her mouth. Going down as far as she dared, Claudia wrapped her lips around me, and caressed them from head to balls and then back again, taking time to swirl her sweet tongue around the head with each pass.

Eventually she sucked my load right up into her mouth, swallowing it all down. I stroked her cheek as she caught her breath.

And then it was time.

The moment I had been planning in the jail cell had arrived.

“Master?” she asked, as I got on one knee before her.

I slipped the ring from my pocket— the one my mother had given me when she knew she was going to die. No one else had known that, but she was privy to intuitions no one else had, and she had ended up being right, sadly.

But now her legacy could live on. She was having a grandchild, and now she would have a daughter-in-law.

“Claudia, I’ve never been happier than during my time with you. This has been the best time of my life. You are my love, my pet, and my destiny. Will you also please be my wife?”

“Yes,” she said, the tears already beginning to flow as the ring slid onto her finger like it had been made for her.

Epilogue – Claudia

I never thought it would happen. There were dreams in my youth, of course, even fantasies— lining up my stuffed animals as I walked down the aisle, clutching a bunch of wildflowers, my bed sheet trailing behind me.

But now the real thing was occurring. I was at my wedding, marrying Sven.

The child’s play stuff had been focused on the ceremony, with no real concept of the commitment involved. But we had considered what marriage entailed and had decided that we wanted it.

The party was small but eclectic, mixing family members with work and school crowds. The music was provided by a supergroup made up of Suspicious Activity artists, with Professor Hernandez as the leader.

Sven knew all of them better than I did, but I felt like a member of the Suspicious Activity family more and more. Especially with the support I’d gotten during my pregnancy from Stephanie and Ashe, and more particularly from Holly, who was quickly becoming one of my best friends.

Speaking of best friends, Gen was here, of course, as my maid of honor.

“You look great,” Holly said, coming into the room as I got ready, her makeup impeccable.

“Thanks.”

“Are you ready for this?”

“Definitely. It’s something I’ve been waiting for most of my life.”

“Marriage, or finding your soulmate?”

“Marriage to my soulmate.”

“Speaking of which, Sven asked me to bring you this.”

She extended the slim black box that rang several bells. Sure enough, the white, silk sister to my black heart chocker rested inside. The heart was done in gold in that case.

“Looks like you’ve been promoted.”

“From pet to wife?”

“No sweetie, you will always be his pet. You’ve gone from girlfriend to life partner. Congratulations.”

“Thank you!”

“Here, I’ll put it on for you.”

After I handed her the white choker, Holly popped the lock on the back of the black choker, lifting the vinyl from my soft skin. With gentle hands, she applied the silk and engaged the lock.

The new arrival matched my dress perfectly. It was unlikely anyone would even know what it meant, if they didn’t already.

It was funny how many people did already know about Sven’s proclivities and didn’t seem at all surprised to hear that we were together. I must have really suited his type, which could only be a good thing.

Suddenly Ari started squalling in the bassinet, so I put her to the boob. The sweet babe was suckling happily until it was time for the ceremony to start.

“You look great,” Gen said. “But we’ve gotta go.”

“Okay. You look good, too,” I said, surprised by what they could do with maid of honor dresses.

“Thanks,” she said, giving a little twirl.

Then Holly complimented Gen and Gen did the same to Holly.

I wasn’t sure about her near corpse paint makeup style, but it was subtle and worked somehow. Particularly with the flowing black dress Sven hand found for her on Seth’s dime.

“Sounds like that’s our cue,” Holly said, as the organ rucked up.

After I had placed Ari back in the bassinet and handed her off to Sven’s little sister, Klara, who had flown in from Sweden especially for the wedding, we made for the stairs.

“Good luck,” Klara said, giving me a sisterly kiss on the cheek, even if it wasn’t yet official.

“Thanks!”

I never had much in the way of family and having a sister-in-law could be really fun. That was assuming she didn’t go right back to Sweden after the ceremony, though I had a feeling we could go there to visit.

According to rumor mill, Sven only spent about nine months of the year in the States. Seth tried to slate all the work he needed for then. In the winter, he returned to Stockholm. He really couldn’t stand the rain.
