And with that, my excitement turns to sheer terror. What in the world am I getting into?

But I decide that there’s really no turning back and that I have to go through with it.

I can’t let my men down. They planned this for me. What kind of girl would I be if I didn’t at least try to go through the class?

“Are you ready to get started?” asks Zac. “We won’t be nearly as complicated at first. What’s your favorite color?”

“Pink,” I say, because, like, obviously, right?

“Great. I have some gorgeous pink silks for you,” he says as he moves to the side of the gymnasium to crank down the rigging.

“And you two? Any action today?” Zac asks.

“Anything but pink,” Eric laughs.

“Today? Wait. You guys have come here before?” I inquire.

“Yeah, we’re actually…pretty fucking good at this. We have connections with just about any fitness-related event. We’ve made it a personal goal to try everything we can get our hands on. One of our many talents, I guess,” says Chase.

“That’s fucking awesome. Is there anything you two can’t do?” I exclaim. “You keep impressing me. Every fucking day.”

I’m really smitten with these guys, and they just never fail to amaze me.

Zac walks over to a closet, and I hear a few flips of switches. Just like that, we have some awesome, upbeat music to move around to. We start off with a few basic stretches. That part is easy; it’s nothing I haven’t done with Eric and Chase with our intense workout sessions.

They’ve taught me that stretching is crucial and have even improved my flexibility, which surely will come in handy today. I take a few more sips of my protein shake. I’m a little nervous about drinking a ton, just in case my stomach decides to turn on me.

I’m still nervous as I mimic Zac, Eric, and Chase in their movements. We all get a leg wrapped up in the silks and begin to climb up the fabric.

My heart is pounding. I’m almost afraid they can hear it thrashing in my chest. But I look over to Chase and Eric’s faces, and all of my fear melts away.

They’re so reassuring, just as they are with me in the gym. I can’t think of a better pair of people to share this experience with.

We practice a few other basic wrapping techniques, and I learn how to also release and grip the fabric in the right places and at the right times so it knots before I fall off.

I’m getting really confident about it after a few practice runs. It’s easy not to fall. Being aware of your surroundings and being quick with your reactions is key.

And I’ve got this shit in the bag. We do a run through of Zac’s initial performance, and we all fucking nail it.

I’m so exhilarated. I had a hard time believing I’d be able to do what Zac does, but then I actually fucking did it.

Chase and Eric are so proud of me. And I love seeing it displayed clear as day on their faces.

“Okay! Well, girl, I believe we’re all done!” Zac announces.

“It’s been a pleasure,” Eric says as he gives Zac a handshake.

“Yeah, this was fuckin’ sweet,” Chase adds before also shaking Zac’s hand.

“It was such a pleasure teaching you all of this! I hope to see you back here with these two! You three would make an awesome show!” Zac comments, obviously eyeballing all three of us for something more than a just a silks performance.

“Maybe if you’re lucky,” I call after him as he leaves the room. We all watch him exit and close the door.

“Wanna go again?” Eric says, lifting an eyebrow at me.

He’s so fucking adorable. How could I say no to that? Now that my nerves are gone, I have no problem chugging the rest of my shake.
