No, we’re not in love with one another. Not even close. My buddy’s a great guy and we’re friends, but I don’t want that from him because neither of us swing that way. Instead, our secret is that we like to share women, and the curvier the better. We like them young, innocent, and willing too, and it takes a lot to find the right woman who can satisfy our desires. But now, Emma is on the horizon and I literally feel myself going hard in anticipation of her arrival.

My buddy hands me a glass of bourbon and I sip the top shelf liquor with appreciation.

“Maker’s Mark?” I ask.

Joseph nods and holds up his own glass. “Straight from Kentucky.”

We both enjoy our drinks, our minds on the beautiful girl set to arrive any moment.

“So how do you know Emma?” I begin. “I take it she’s friends with your daughter?”

Katy Mellon is a gorgeous girl, and I’m not surprised she has beautiful acquaintances. Meanwhile, my buddy grins.

“Yeah, Emma and Katy used to be roommates over at SVA. The sweet girl’s still living in that same room despite the fact that my daughter moved out after her marriage. But I felt we’d have more space here,” he growls.

I let out a harsh bark of laughter.

“If SVA’s dorm rooms are anything like mine was back in the day, then it’s about fifteen by fifteen with lofted bunk beds.”

Joseph looks amused.

“Yeah, the room is tiny but Emma and Katy got along great actually. I guess they didn’t mind basically living on top of one another.” That particular phrasing has me imagine both beautiful women, nude as their limbs tangle together in a passionate embrace, but then I shake myself out of it. My best friend wouldn’t appreciate me thinking about his daughter that way, especially since she’s married now.

“But Emma’s great,” my friend continues. “She’s a lot smarter than she gives herself credit for, and to be honest, she’s one of the most intelligent women I know. I’m sure some part of her has an idea of what we’ve invited her here for tonight because let’s face it: no one can be that naïve.”

I nod.

“Plus, your daughter was pretty wild before she tied the knot right? So maybe behind all the ribbons and lace, Emma’s a frisky one too.”

Joseph mock frowns, showing off even white teeth.

“First, don’t talk about my daughter like that, but yeah, I certainly hope so,” he says. “Let’s just hope Emma’s got a healthy imagination. At that moment, the doorbell rings, the chime echoing off the vaulted ceiling. My buddy strides over to open it, and sure enough, Emma’s gorgeous when she appears in the living room. I thought she looked incredible earlier in her sweater and skirt combo, but she was hiding her curves then. Now, the sweet girl’s wearing a cream sundress that skims her assets while also dipping low enough to show off a hint of cleavage. Her long curls hang freely over her shoulders, coming to rest along the swell of her breasts, and she’s wearing cream sandals too, highlighting those toned calves. The urge to claim her surges in my veins, and I can tell from Joseph’s rigid stance that he feels the same.

Emma looks at us, pausing as she enters the airy living room.

“Am I early?” she asks in a sweet tone.

Joseph and I are galvanized into action.

“No of course not,” I say in a voice slightly hoarse with need. “You look beautiful, honey. Come sit down.”

Joseph nods, his blue eyes roving over Emma’s curvy figure.

“Would you like a drink, sweetheart? Perhaps some wine?”

“Yes please,” she titters.

My buddy disappears while Emma perches prettily on a white sofa, marveling at the grand piano.

“Wow,” she giggles. “It’s so huge. Of course, I’ve seen it before but I always forget what a fancy apartment this is!”

I growl.

“Mine is just a few blocks down, so you’re welcome to come over there anytime too, sweetheart. I’ve got a duplex.”

“A duplex!” Emma exclaims, her eyes going wide. “Goodness, you must have so much space!”

“I do,” I nod wryly. “That’s why I need you to come over.”

At that moment, Joseph strolls in with a glass of wine for our sweet girl.

“Stop being such a lech, Gray,” he growls. “Let Emma have some peace of mind.”

I merely roll my eyes while adjusting my trousers. Shit, even being in the pretty brunette’s vicinity makes me hard. But then Emma looks at us.

“Wait, no wine for you?” she asks in a puzzled tone.

I lift my amber snifter, and Joseph does the same.

“We’ve already got bourbon, honey, but thanks. Now,” I say, leaning forward. “Are you ready for our proposition?”

Emma giggles slightly, her cheeks turning pink.

“You mean, your job offer right?”

Joseph and I share a look and nod.

“Of course,” my friend says in a smooth tone before putting his drink down. “But sweetheart, Gray and I have been talking and as we mentioned earlier, we’re looking for a personal assistant. With an emphasis on personal, and barely any emphasis on assistant.”
