I squint through my haze. Listen. There it is again. The knocking.

Who could possibly be at my door at this hour?

I scramble from the tub, reaching for a plush white towel, wrapping it around my body before tossing it for the robe hanging behind the door. I use the towel to wrap my head instead, then head for the door.

“Yes? Can I help you?” I say, standing at the door. I peer through the peephole.

“It’s me,” says a soft feminine voice. “Can we talk?”

I frown. Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!

I swing open the door. “Ramona? W-what are you doing here?”

She bats her lashes, tossing her hair. She sweeps her gaze over my half-wrapped body, beads of water still clinging to my skin.

“I hoped we could talk.”

This chick can’t be serious. Is she? I scowl, pulling my robe tighter. “I believe you said more than enough up in the lounge. So I’m going to need you to leave.” I go to shut the door in her face, but she blocks it with her foot. And hand.

“Wait. Please. All I need is a few moments of your time. I promise. I won’t take up much more than that.”

Reluctantly, I step back, opening the door and inviting her in. “You have two minutes.” I cross into the sitting room, then turn to face her, folding my arms across my chest. “Okay, what is so important that you felt it necessary to hunt me down and come up to my suite?”

I hold my breath, waiting.

She frowns. “Don’t be nasty. And let’s not be foolish. I didn’t hunt you down. That sounds so…stalker-ish.”

“Well…it’s starting to look pretty stalker-ish to me.”

“Oh, look who’s sounding paranoid. I simply found out which room you were staying in.” She opens her arms dramatically. “And here I am.”

“Oh, is that so?” I say in disbelief. “I suppose just like you found out I would be at this exact hotel speaking?”

She shrugs. “That was simply fate. But to answer your question: I’m here because you raced out of the lounge so quickly that I didn’t get a chance to finish what I was saying. And besides, I wanted to check on you.”

I give her a look of disbelief. “Oh, I think you said enough for the both of us. Actually, you said more than you should have. And as you can see, I’m fine. So why are you following me?”

She puts a hand up. “Wait a minute. Don’t flatter yourself. I’m not following you. I mean you’re a sweet piece of ass and all, but don’t go there, boo.”

I huff. “Then why are you here?”

“Aww, mami don’t be like that. I planned on staying away, I mean, I wanted to. But I can’t stop thinking about our magnificent night together. Then seeing you at that luncheon earlier brought all those sweet memories flooding back. And I found myself listening to you today give your precious speech, getting all wet and horny. Seeing you and hearing you had my pussy so juicy sitting in my seat. All I kept thinking about is your tongue. And that long purple dildo you fucked into my ass.”

The air around me suddenly goes thick. “That night was a lot of fun. But please don’t make me regret it. It was a one-night stand. So please. Let it go.”

“Are you serious?” she says incredulously. “Let it go? Just forget that it ever happened? Oh, no. Sorry, mami. I can’t do that. I know what went down with the three of us was supposed to be strictly No-Strings-Attached sex. And maybe for you it was. But not for me. Oh, no. It was so much more. I felt a connection.”

Memory floods me. The way she rode Marcel’s dick. The gentle way he coaxed her, touched her, and…made love to her. The way she looked at him. And now this bitch stands here confirming what I’d already suspected that night, what I’d already felt deep in my gut. That she wouldn’t be able to keep things in perspective. That she’d potentially try to turn it into something more than what it was.

Sex. Uninhibited fucking. A meaningless ménage à trois.

“You need to leave,” I say, cinching the belt around my robe tighter. “Clearly you’re intoxicated.”

“I’m not drun

k,” she says, defiantly placing a hand up on her hip, nostrils flaring. Her Spanish accent sounds thicker than I remember hearing it.

I narrow my eyes. “Then you’re in need of some serious medications for those delusions.”
