One thing led to the next and before he knew it, a bowl that had been on the coffee table came flying towards his face. He had not been quick enough. Hell, he had not even seen it coming. The pain had almost knocked him out and he was lucky he had been seated. Alicia had then gotten to her feet and walked away in a huff. Now thirty minutes later, here he was.

This was by far the most violent thing Alicia had ever

done. Their fights had been nasty, but the only consisted of words and a little shoving. Alicia did most of the shoving since Michael could not see himself being physical with her. She was not necessarily a strong girl and even when she shoved him, it did not create the impact she wanted it to create.

Michael found himself wondering why they had to fight every single day. Someone had suggested earlier that he move out and despite the fact that he was moving out, he knew well that he was not moving out from the house because she was bad. His move was influenced by personal reasons. In different circumstances, Michael knew that eh would go after Alicia because she was one hell of a beautiful chic.

This was something Alicia knew as well and she flaunted her beauty for all to see. It was the one reason why she did not have a boyfriend. She did not want someone who would tie her down. Being tied down meant someone she would have to worry about when she was out in the club getting her freak on. Not that Alicia lived a dangerous life.

If anything, her outgoing nature could be termed as fairly active. She went out every now and then. Every time she went out, however, Alicia made sure that she had the most fun she could in a night. Sex to her had to be earned. It did not just come free. Neither was it attached to money. She believed that a man had to earn it through his actions. There were men, however, who did not have to earn it. These were men who only needed to look at her and get her to that zone.

One such man was Michael, and although the idiot did not know it, he had had an effect on her ever since they had met for the very first time. Alicia had been young then and she had known right then and there that she was going to have to make him an enemy. Why, because they were now siblings. She would not allow herself to sleep with her stepbrother. Or maybe she would and could, she was just not there yet. So every time Michael made her angry, she tried to be as physical as possible.

This she believed would help her stay away from him. The effects were, however, different. Michael liked to tease her. Alicia knew that Michael teased her because he did not like her very much. It was more of bullying than teasing. He teased her just to make her angry and reactive.

When she heard that he was moving out, Alicia had been happy. But then the man had continued staying in the house and she had wondered what was happening. Her stepmother had finally called her and told her that she was not to allow Michael to move out. Upon asking, Alicia was told that her stepmother wanted to come and see the house that the young man was living in. It made sense, but only a little.

Alicia was not the kind to argue with her stepmother. She respected her, even loved her for the good things she was doing to her father. While she hated her son’s guts, Alicia loved her stepmother like she would her own mother. And maybe that was why she never allowed herself to get too close to Michael.

That was also why when he had roughed up her hair earlier, she had reacted in the most explosive ways. This was by far, in Alicia’s standards, the most violent she would ever be. She was honestly not the kind of woman who reacted like that. She did not even have a mean streak in her. And she felt bad for what she had done.

This she knew would compel her to apologize which was worse because Michael would only make it harder for her. He would make her pay, first for hitting him and then for apologizing for it. As if that was not enough, he would probably mess with her again to make sure that she would never do the same again.

Despite feeling bad, Alicia did know for a fact that’s he had enjoyed the reaction on his face when she had hit him. It was one of pure horror chances were he would never mess with her again because now he knew the extent of her craziness. He knew that she could flip and cut his head off. Alicia found herself smiling at this.

Her mind, led by her conscience, started to think of how best to apologize. Going to him and saying she was sorry was a no-no. She would never find the courage to do that. She needed to say she was sorry in a subtle way. In a way that would allow her to take it back if need be. There was no better way than making dinner. She would probably make his favorite and when eh got cocky about it, she would simply say that it was not really meant for him. The good thing was that she had been introduced to chicken by her stepmother and she had loved the way the older woman made her chicken. In fact, she ad loved it so much that she had started to learn how to make it like that.

She was yet to perfect the art of making such marinated chicken, but she was pretty decent with it. Alicia stepped out of her room and went to the kitchen. She was not surprised to find Michael seated there, with an ice pack over his head. The man looked ridiculous like that. Without saying a word to him, she started collecting the things she would need to make the meal. It would take some time but the good thing was that there was still time for dinner.

She could tell that Michael was watching her. He had not uttered a word since she walked into the kitchen. She was not planning to be the one to start the awkward conversation. This was because she would be forced to say that she was sorry. She simply collected the chicken from the refrigerator and started making the sauce. All the while Michael sat there, not saying a word. Whether he was watching her or not, Alicia did not care. All she wanted to do was to finish making her chicken in peace.

“I never thought you would be that violent,” Michael said slowly. He was not playing with her, neither was he trying to make conversation. He was simply pointing out that she had done something he would never imagine she would do.

“If you kept your hands to yourself, then maybe this would never have happened,” Alicia said without looking at him.

The truth was that Alicia was feeling guilty already. His words did not make it better for her and she knew that if she showed him her regretful face, he would push it to the end. He would probably make her stab him.

“But I only touched your hair,” Michael said.

“I was also trying to touch your hair,” Alicia said and tried to stop herself from laughing.

“With a ceramic bowl?” Michael could not believe it.

“Yes, and I will do it again if you ever think of touching my hair again. This shit is expensive,” Alicia said sternly. This time she turned towards Michael so she could show him that she was serious.

Michael managed a smile and looked away from her. He did not like the way she looked at him. It was probably because she was the sexiest thing he was looking at. Never before had he seen her this angry and sexy at the same time. This got him excited and he hoped that it could not see on his face. Not that he was very good at wearing a poker face.

Alicia had a quizzical look on her face when he turned to look at her. Michael felt like a clown.

“What,” he asked.

“You look funny,” Alicia said.

“Oh really now? Is it maybe because of the ice pack that you are making me use?”

“I have not made you use anything. You can drop it if you want to, see if I care,” Alicia said. Her guilt was slowly slipping away and for a second, she wondered why she was even making the chicken. Alica turned and started making the chicken, her thoughts leaving Michael, but only for a few minutes.

They say energy comes from the eyes, and it explains why one feels like they are being looked at only to turn and meet a pair of eyes looking at them. It was the same feeling Alicia felt as she stood there. She could tell that Michael was looking at her.
