“And two years ago, just as you were about to, I answered the motherfucking phone. No wonder you were so pissed off. Jesus, Maggie, you should have told me.”

Normally, I would scoff. Or be sarcastic.

But I can see from the gutted look on his face that he feels awful. So, I cup his cheeks and smile gently.

“If you do that again, I’ll forgive you.”

He turns and presses a kiss to the palm of my hand.

“I don’t deserve to be here.”

“Okay, now you’re being a little dramatic.”

He tips his forehead to mine, and with one of my hands clasped in his and cradled between us, he nudges between my legs and effortlessly slides right inside, filling me completely.

I gasp.

He groans and then looks at me with wide eyes.

“No condom.”

I grin and kiss his nose. “I’ve got it covered.”

I’ve been on the pill since I was fifteen.

He sighs in relief and begins to move. Slowly and with long strokes, then he picks up the pace as if he just can’t help himself. As if going slower might kill him dead, right here on the spot.

He pushes up so he can look down to see where we’re joined, and I reach down and press my fingers to my clit, sending more electricity up my spine and through my limbs.

“Fucking hell,” he growls. “That’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”

I close my eyes, tip my head back, and ride the more-intense wave of sensation. But Cam wraps his hand around my neck and says, “Eyes on me.”

His blue eyes shine intensely with pure, unadulterated lust and affection. Between that and the incredible sensations moving through me, I can’t hold back. I fall apart, splitting into a million pieces as I come even harder than before.

I didn’t even know that was possible.

With his gaze locked on mine, Cam winces and then curses as he pulses against me and jerks as every muscle in his stellar body contracts.

It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.

And when he’s done, he buries his face in my neck and rolls to the side, holding me tightly, our bodies still connected.

“Wow,” I whisper.

“Damn right.”

“I have to go.”

Cameron glances up at me over his mug and raises a brow. “Okay.”

“I mean, I don’t mean to kick you out, but—”

“But you’re kicking me out.”

I shrug a shoulder. “You can stay if you want. I have a girls’ day brunch with all of the sisters at Maeve’s house. Since most of us work in the evenings, it’s hard to get together for girls’ night out, so we do girls’ brunch in. Maeve’s hosting today.”

“Fun. Are you going to drink a bunch of mimosas and talk about the guys?”

“No. We prefer bloody Marys.”

Cam laughs, and I lean over to kiss him.

“I’ll see you later,” he says. “I need to get home and get to work myself, actually.”

“Do you have a busy day full of espionage?”

“Something like that.” I grab my purse, and he follows me to the door. Before I can open it, he pins me to it, my front against the wood, and grabs my throat and jawline from behind. “I want you to think of me all day. I want you to think about me being inside of you and making you crazy.”

“Already planned on it.”

He chuckles. “Good girl.”

And with that, he pats my ass, and we’re on our way. I wave at him from my car and then blow out a frustrated breath when it won’t start.

Cam waits, but after three tries, it’s a lost cause. I step out of the vehicle, and he rolls his passenger window down.

“I’ll give you a ride,” he offers.

“Thanks. I know one of the others can give me a lift back later.”

“If not, just call me,” he says as I buckle my seat belt.

He doesn’t say anything bad about my car, which surprises me. My siblings are always giving me a hard time, insisting that I need a new one.

But I don’t want to spend money on that.

Within about ten minutes, Cam pulls into Maeve’s driveway. She lives in a spectacular house on the cliffs with an amazing view of the ocean.

“Thanks again.” I offer him a quick kiss and then bounce out of the car. “Have a good day, dear.”

He grins and blows me a little kiss, then backs out of the driveway, headed for home. Based on the number of cars already here, it looks like I’m late.

I walk in the back door by the kitchen and grin when I see all four of my sisters, whether by blood or marriage, sitting around, laughing and talking.

“Was that Cam who dropped you off?” Lexi asks.

“Yeah, my car wouldn’t start.” I hang my bag on a coat rack by the door and then offer everyone a hug. “So, he gave me a lift. He stayed the night last night.”
