She tore the blindfold from her eyes and grabbed onto his shoulders and joined them rocking and thrusting.

They moaned and chanted. She felt her body tighten and she convulsed between them, screaming out until her voice was horse. Zin and York continued

to stroke into her ass and pussy, relentlessly trying to find their release. The bed rocked and the room spun as they came hard and fast holding their cocks deep within her as they shook.

“I love you so fucking much, baby. Damn, that was fucking incredible,” York said, cupping her cheeks and kissing her deeply.

“I love you, too.” She panted once he released her.

Behind her, Zin caressed her ass cheeks and gave them two slaps.

“I love fucking this ass, and I love you, baby. You’re a pleasant surprise.” He pulled out of her then knelt on the bed, took her face between his hands, and kissed her deeply.

Once he released her, she smiled. “I love you, too, but I think I’m going to pass out.”

York chuckled as he pulled out and rolled her to her back.

She closed her eyes, felt the warm washcloth, the gentle kisses to her skin, as she lay there spent and helpless. But she didn’t have a care in the world or a worry. Her five men were there, her American soldiers, her made men who loved her and would protect her forever.

The next few days were hard on all of them. As the men began to clean house at Pro-Tech Industries, Aspen worked on securing and organizing the job with Cartwright. Her men forbid her to have any more involvement in taking down Andrei. They explained that it was part of their illegal business side and they didn’t want her connected legally if anything went wrong. They had taken the time to explain to her about their connections to the Russian mafia, as well as other organized crime syndicates. She was shocked to learn that it was Storm who was related to Dmitri and it wasn’t difficult to figure out that his family name was quite important. He continued to go by his mother’s maiden last name to hide his identity when he went into the military. That had been his calling in life.

But Winter explained that they all came from troubled pasts and the military was their way of surviving, getting three square meals a day, and belonging to a family that wouldn’t disappoint them and always had their backs. Zin expressed the love he had for the men he considered his brothers. York told her about how life had been when they retired from the military and how difficult of a time they all had adapting to civilian life, finding work they liked and that paid well, and how they almost gave up. Weston explained about the jobs they took at first and then the ones as the muscle for loan sharks that were connected to Storm’s family businesses. She felt badly for them as they referred to themselves as orphans who found one another and formed a family, a bond that could never be broken.

She was impressed and touched by the deep connection. She also felt a bit jealous of that. She never had a mother because she died when Aspen was just an infant. Her father, what she remembered of him, was that he was always angry, always combative, and then he got sick and was even more miserable. If not for Porter, Aspen may not have learned to survive on her own and be so independent. But she had no choice. In the city it was do or die, fight for a better life, for better things or succumb to the easy way out.

She always had this inner strength, this fight in her, and she often wondered if came from her mother. From what she remembered about her father and what Porter told her about him, it didn’t seem to come from him. Fighting for survival and a better life wasn’t the same as fighting to hurt someone and keep them at bay.

She heard the knock at her door and was surprised to see Pamela there. The woman, despite Aspen’s concern that she was working for Andrei, had come up clean. There was no real evidence indicating Pamela was on the take.

“Hi, Pamela, what’s going on?”

“I was just wondering if you wanted to do lunch.”

“Oh, I’m not sure. I think York was coming down to go with me.”

“I don’t think so. Alex from security just said that York and the guys were meeting someone from Sparks Industries upstairs in the boardroom.”

“Oh, they must have secured the meeting after all. Great. Then I guess I am free, but we have to have it downstairs in the café. Is that okay?”

“Great for me. I have been dying to try that pumpkin spice latte. I heard it is so good. I might even get it with cream instead of skim milk,” Pamela said, rubbing her hands together.

Aspen chuckled. “Sounds delicious. I think I’ll join you. Let me just grab my bag and text the guys.”

She reached for her phone and texted Weston. He was supposed to be working in his office on data sheets and numbers for the materials needed on the Cartwright job.

She turned off her desk light and headed out of the room closing her office door behind her. Pamela pressed the button on the elevator. They waited patiently as they chatted about the new boutique opening in town and the art gallery showing new work. Aspen explained about knowing Gia and her friend Mariana and how they were in charge of the art and owned the gallery.

“I don’t think this damn elevator is working. Let’s take the stairs. Then I can definitely have the cream in that latte. This will count as a workout,” Pamela said as they entered the stairwell.

They were laughing, talking about exercising and the demands on women to look good in certain outfits as they came to the lobby floor entrance.

Aspen went to open the door when she felt a prick to her neck.

She gasped, turned around to see Pamela with the needle in her hand. “Pamela, why?” she asked as she fell against the metal door but didn’t fall to the floor. Aspen held on to the door searching for the handle as the sound of footsteps thumped from the stairwell below.

Pamela gave her the once-over. “They were mine and you came here and took them. Now I’ll comfort them when they find your body and know you’re dead. They’ll be all mine.”
