“Are you really okay?” Brent asked as I took a breath.

“He didn’t do…anything. Not really. I just didn’t even want it to begin,” I admitted as I shivered in the ocean breeze. “I don’t know why I walked with him out here.”

Brandon opened the glass door to the lobby, and I wandered towards the elevator, still shaking. He wrapped a strong arm around my shoulder and pulled me against his body as heat washed over me. Brent pushed the button for the elevator, and they took me to my room as I looked up at them. “Why were you guys on the beach?”

“Saw you leave with him and wanted to make sure that everything was all right,” Brent replied as my eyes widened. Brandon handed me my shoes as I stood in the open door, looking at me closely. “Are you okay to be alone?”

I licked my lips as they both watched me. There was a part of me that wanted to tell them no. That girl wanted to tell them how much I was craving them and that I wished it was them on the beach with me instead of Nate. It seemed like a good place to be with the right man or men. I couldn’t choose one of them and silence fell between us. “Yeah, I think so. I’ll see you tomorrow morning in the conference room.” I hated the words.

“Sleep well, Jane.” Brent looked at me one more time before he turned towards the elevator, followed by his brother. They waited for me to close and lock the door as I leaned against it, taking a slow, deep breath. I walked forward to close the curtains after cracking the window open just enough for some air. I went to the bathroom to strip off the dress and slip into a soft cotton nightgown and wash my face.

Sitting on the big bed alone with the television on seemed to soothe the discomfort from the evening for me. Nate never threatened me and any that there might have been was handled by Brandon with a simple look. No words were said, but the brothers conveyed a lot with their actions, being protective and caring all in the same beat. It only made them sexier to me, and I dropped back onto the pillows with a sigh. I fell asleep there, waking up to the light of the sun slipping through the crack of the blue curtains. I rolled to my side and looked around the strange room before thinking back to the events of the night before.

Glancing at the clock, I realized that I had about an hour and a half before I had to go downstairs. I made coffee in the cute little coffee maker and opened the door to take it outside and look over the water. I played back the part from last night where Brent asked me if I was okay and I caught his intense gaze. His concern was apparent in his eyes as well as anger, and I remembered how I scooted close to him without a second thought.

God, it was so easy. I sipped my coffee again and looked around, feeling like I was in paradise.

I showered and dressed in a gray pencil skirt and soft yellow button up shirt with cap sleeves after my light makeup was on. I slipped my feet into heels to match the skirt and slipped my tablet, wireless keyboard, and a notebook with a pen inside of a dark purple messenger bag. My hair was in a loose bun at the name of my neck today for comfort, and I took one last look in the mirror before slipping the key into my bag and going to the elevator. There were a few familiar faces, and I smiled at them as we all said our good mornings. I didn’t get to know too many people that well last night to use names, but there would be time for that throughout the week. Once we were in the lobby, I took a long look around before heading to the back wall where our morning meeting was going to be held.

The room was beautiful with a large space full of tables and a lot of windows. I was surprised to see a breakfast buffet set up in the corner and a big one at that. I searched the room for Brent and Brandon to see them holding a table as I walked over and sat down beside Brent with a grateful smile. “Thanks again for last night.”

“It wasn’t a problem, Jane.” He gave me a serious look as I nodded and stared at the table. They were wearing black slacks and white shirts with ties that made their eyes a beautiful blue as I swallowed thickly. I wanted to tell them how much I wanted them to come into my room with me and make me forget the slice of fear that I felt on the beach. I wanted to tell them that I wanted them to be the ones touching me, but remembered how I reminded them that nothing would ever happen between us. How would it look if I took all of that back after things seemed to be better between

us?

It would look weak.

Brent stood and went to get a plate, assuring me that he’d bring me something back. Brandon remained for a moment, searching my face before he rose to follow Brent as women watched from all over the room. God, in the natural light of this room the guys were breathtaking. They had a commanding presence without the good looks, and even I stared as they walked through the various food offerings as well as stopping by the espresso stand before returning to me. Brent had a plate of fresh fruit and some breakfast pastries while Brandon slid a strong cup of coffee across the table at me.

CHAPTER 27

Brandon

Fuck if she didn’t look beautiful this morning. I know that Jane said that she was fine last night, but I saw the way she pulled away from him in the bright moonlight. Her eyes were wide when she looked at us, and I sucked in my breath as I stared at the guys with a look that could kill. I don’t know what he was trying, but the way that she moved closer to us on her shaking legs told me that whatever it was made her uncomfortable. I glanced across the room today to meet his gaze with a cold one of my own, not giving a fuck if I was sabotaging a friendship of hers. Nobody was going to make her feel that way and think they had anything left with her. Hell, Brent and I would both protect her from him and anyone else. We’d become skilled at protecting her against us the last few weeks, but I felt the pull in her room last night. Her need slipped into her eyes as she looked at us silently, beckoning for us to come inside and erase whatever memories she had from the beach.

We’d never force it, though. Jane would have to ask. We made it through the conference as she took notes on the tablet and nibbled slowly on her food, seemingly caught up in what we were learning. I kept staring at the curve of her neck and the way the shirt she was wearing clung to her curves. Damn it, Jane was beautiful. We were excused for lunch and insisted on taking her to a small cafe with us where we enjoyed sandwiches and Jane a hearty salad. We sipped water even though I really wanted a beer, but there was always later. Brent paid for lunch to her protests, and she swore that she’d get the next meal.

That meant there would be one.

Something different was happening between all of us now. We were comfortable, and it appeared that Jane felt safe with us. Her words were light and teasing as we talked, but her eyes moved over each of us heavily from time to time. I know that I was staring at her every chance that I got, along with my brother. A lot of guys were, but she didn’t seem to be aware of it.

We had dinner with her that night, in a place next to a dance club that was so typical in Mexico. Jane did enjoy a drink with her seafood, and we happily ordered beers, since we were so close to the hotel. Jane changed into a flirty dark pink dress to go eat in with some ballet flats, and I looked at the skirt that was loose around her thighs once she was knocking on our door on the tenth floor. It was a suite more than just a room, and we each had our own bedroom with an ocean view. I invited her in, and Jane looked around with an impressed gaze as she strolled across the living room. “So, this is what the big bosses get when they travel.” She walked to the large balcony and walked outside to wait for Brent, who was freshening up in the bathroom. I joined her, standing close to her as she took a shuddering breath.

“There are perks to running a company, you know.” I handed her a bottle of water that she took with shaking hands. Brent came out in shorts and a dark t-shirt, and we left for the restaurant together, with Jane falling very silent. She ordered two drinks with her meal, strong ones that made her loosen up and giggle a lot. We hit the club beside it after, surprised to find it void of any colleagues as we went to the bar for more drinks. The music was smooth with a great beat, and Jane was soon pulling us out to the dance floor. Liquid courage lessened her inhibitions, and she shook her hips easily as her skirt danced around her lower thighs, something that Brent and I both watched closely. She giggled, and I moved closer to her, intoxicated by the beat and the way her body was moving. Brent looked around the room that was getting darker with flashes of light as I moved behind her and found a rhythm, her hips moving smoothly with mine. I slipped my hand around her hips as I felt her moan reverberate through her body, smelling the sweet scent of citrus in her hair and something else on her skin. Jesus fucking Christ, Jane was sexy.

Brent moved in front of her, and she danced with him for a bit, making me jealous of her body rubbing against his cock as he tugged her closer. I was pressed firmly against her juicy ass, and that was incredible, but he was faux fucking her right now as she gave into the moment. The song turned into another one as she moved between us, her hands sliding shyly over our bodies as she teased Brent and them me. Jane had to know what she was doing as I pulled her against me, her backside rubbing my painful erection as I groaned. I slid one hand from her hip up her body, curving my hand around her full breast as her head dropped against me. I met my brother’s eyes in the dimly lit space and saw the hunger in his eyes. I stroked her gently, longing to tug the dress aside and find her nipple with my thumb and finger as I reminded myself of where we were.

Jane only had a couple more drinks throughout the night, so I knew that she wasn’t sloppy drunk when we left the club and she slipped her arms around us. I knew that she wanted us from the last hour or so spent with her on the floor and I glanced around carefully for anyone that we might know. For all anyone else around us knew, we were helping her to her room after some drinks, and that was all. It could be the case since nothing had been discussed yet but I felt like it was more. We entered the lobby and walked to the elevators, getting on as the doors closed and Brent looked at me. “Ready for some sleep, Jane? Do you have your room key?”

“I don’t want to be alone,” she murmured as she turned towards me and giggled. “Can I sleep in your room?” Heat washed through me at the thought as I licked my lips. Fuck, yes, she could.

“Jane,” I prodded her gently as her eyes gazed into mine. “Are you drunk?” She smiled and shook her head, giving me a glimpse of clarity in her eyes. “If you come up there, nothing will happen if that’s what you want. I’ll sleep on the couch and you can have the bed.”

“Mmmm, we’ll see. Maybe I’ll sleep on the balcony,” she laughed as I stared hard at Brent. No fucking way that was going to happen. He pressed the button for the penthouse and the car moved as she pressed herself against me and breathed in. Her tits pressed into my chest as I breathed in slowly, feeling my cock harden. I wanted to slide my hands down her legs and back up under the skirt to feel her; to see if she was wet for me. I resisted, but the thought was there as I held her shoulders to support her. The elevator stopped, and Brent led the way off into our room as she walked in and stretched, lifting her skirt an inch or two.

“Fuck me,” he muttered as I nodded in agreement. Jane had a great body and did some exercise regularly, judging from the taut thighs that she revealed to us. She walked to the couch and dropped down, looking around with a smile.

“This is an incredible room,” she told us as she leaned back. “Mine is pretty, too. This, though? This is the nicest place I’ve ever seen in a hotel.” Jane looked at us with wide green eyes as Brent walked over to get us all some water before we joined her on the sofa. It was already a bit late, and we had another conference tomorrow mid-morning that we should get some sleep for, but neither of us wanted to leave Jane alone. “Can I ask you something?” Her voice was soft as I looked at my brother and nodded.
