“I’m going to come, Logan,” Vanessa screams and in the next second, her orgasm hits at full force and her body starts to shiver. She writhes under my body, hot and wild, sending me to my own release.

I come in a rush of hot cream, and growl as pleasure consumes me. Vanessa tightens her legs around me and milks all the cum out of me with the muscles of her pussy.

“It gets better every time,” I tell Vanessa later when we’re standing under the shower cleaning ourselves off.

Chapter 25

Vanessa

It’s sweet how excited Logan is to bring Emma home for a visit. He spent the night at the cottage and left early to clean up the house, not that it needs extra cleaning as the cleaners came by a couple of days ago.

Ivy is playing happily in her playpen while I hang a banner up that says “Welcome Home.” Emma is a lucky little girl to have a dad who is willing to learn how to be a dad. I muse over how Jade, his ex-lover, chose not to tell him that she was pregnant and as I’m about to condemn her, my own situation comes to mind.

Didn’t I do the same thing with Gabriel? It’s true that he wounded me by letting me believe there was a future for us. Then there was the matter of finding another woman at his place so soon after we broke up. That had injured my pride. I guess I could justify my silence with lots of reasons, but the result is still the same. I never told Gabriel that I was pregnant, just like Jade never told Logan, and see the price they are paying now. It’s taken Logan a long time to come to terms with the fact that he has a daughter.

Ivy lets out a cry from the playpen, a sign that she needs her milk and her morning nap. “I’m coming, sweetheart.” I’d hoped that she would stay long enough to see Emma.

Her bottle of milk is already warm and waiting for her. I grab it and settle on the couch, cradling Ivy. “You look so sleepy,” I tell her and bend down to kiss her forehead.

She downs her milk in minutes, sealing her eyes shut when it’s over. I hold her a while longer, loving her warm body next to mine. I’m going to have to be mentally prepared to share Ivy. I’ve been with her every day of her life, and it dawns on me that when I let Gabriel into our lives, I’m going to have to accept that he’ll likely want her to spend some nights at his place.

Anxiety comes over me and my neck and head grow hot. The next moment, I laugh softly. I’m getting ahead of myself. There is nothing to be frightened of. The whole thing is dependent on whether Gabriel actually wants to have a relationship with Ivy. He could reject her, which to be brutally honest, is the most likely scenario. He’s married. How would he explain a child to his wife? His situation is way different from Logan’s. It’s complicated.

With a sigh, I carry Ivy upstairs to the bedroom she uses when we spend the night in Logan’s house. I lower her gently into the crib that Logan bought when we carried ours back to the cottage. He insisted on getting one in case we were here, and Ivy needed a nap. I turn on the monitor and quietly pad out of the room.

Downstairs, I tidy up, and just when I’m thinking of popping into the cottage to fold some laundry, I hear Logan’s truck. My heart pounds with excitement and I rush to the front door. I fling it open and wave back when Logan steps out of the car. He goes to the passenger side and opens the door. A minute later, he’s headed this way carrying a baby.

“Hey,” I tell him, a huge grin on my face. I love babies and I can’t wait to have a turn at holding Emma.

Logan smiles, his face lighting up. The expression of a proud father. He looks even sexier carrying a baby. The daddy role suits him. "Hey. We're home. Emma’s first time home."

I hold the door open and peer at Emma as they go past. "I think she's asleep."

"Yeah, she was asleep in the car," Logan said. "Too much excitement."

"Or it's her nap time," I whisper as I follow him in.

"Do you want to hold her while I get her stuff?” Logan says.

"I thought you'd never ask." I plop down on the couch, and he gently lowers her into my arms.

"Is Ivy napping?” he says.

"Yes." I move the baby blanket from Emma's adorable little face. "She's so beautiful."

"She is, isn't she?” Logan says. "I won't be long."

"Okay." She looks so peaceful sleeping. I search for traces of Logan, but I guess she's still too young to tell whether she looks like her dad. "You're so pretty. You and Ivy might become sisters." I'm startled by that thought.
