Without warning, I break the kiss and lift her off the ground. She shrieks as I hoist her over my shoulder and carry her to the bedroom. “You’ll wake Ivy up,” I whisper to her and kick the door shut behind us.

I love that she’s wearing a skirt and when I lay her on the bed, I lay down between her legs and push her skirt up. Her eyes glaze over when I push her panties to one side and run a finger along her wet, slick slit. Her arousal scents fill the air and a desperate urge to taste her comes over me. I pull down her panties and she kicks them off the rest of the way. I spread her legs and bury my head between her legs.

“Yes, yes, yes,” Vanessa yells as I devour her pussy with my tongue, lips, and fingers. I eat her out as if it’s my last meal. She fills my ears with sounds of pleasure and my cock responds by jerking crazily inside the confines of my pants.

“Oh God, please,” Vanessa whimpers as she gets closer and closer to orgasm.

I work my tongue faster in and out of her tight pussy while teasing her clit with my thumb. My name falls from her lips until the words are incomprehensible.

“I’m going to come,” she gasps, and her body erupts into a series of shudders. I suck all her juices as they gush out of her. I take her clit into my mouth and suck on it, intensifying her pleasure. Her orgasm is long and drawn out and only when she grows still do I take my mouth away.

“I think I’m dead,” Vanessa says, and I burst into laughter.

Chapter 33

Vanessa

I let out a sigh of relief when the last student leaves the class. This has to be my worst class ever. I’d been distracted throughout, and I feel guilty that I’d given less than my best.

My mind was on this next phase for all of us but mostly on Logan. Tomorrow is going to be a huge day. Emma is coming home. Finally! Everything is set, including the wonderful lady who is going to be her live-in nanny. Fiona is a grandmother in real life and she’s loving and kind. Emma is a lucky girl to have a wonderful person taking care of her. It’s going to be a party of sorts, with Logan’s family there to celebrate Emma’s homecoming. Janice, Logan’s sister, has organized for everyone to come with a dish. I’m making chicken curry and rice, and I’ll also decorate the house.

In my office, I sit down to respond to emails. Those I can do with a distracted mind, I think. A light knock comes on the door and Eva peers in.

“How was class?” she says.

“Not my best but I made it,” I tell her. I bang my hands on the table sending papers flying. “Emma is coming home tomorrow.”

Eva grins and enters my office. “I know, you’ve told me over five thousand times.”

I laugh. “I know, I guess I’ve thought of nothing else but that. Logan is going to make a wonderful father.”

“And husband soon, huh?” she says, staring at me shrewdly.

I shake my head. “I’m nowhere close to wanting that yet. I’ll admit to having a few fantasies but that’s all they are. Fantasies. Logan and I need a lot more time to get used to each other and our families.”

“I’m glad you can see that. He’s a great guy but you both have a lot of baggage that you need sort out first,” Eva says gently.

“Am I interrupting something?” a familiar voice says from the door.

My blood turns to ice when Gabriel’s smiling face appears at the door before the rest of him follows.

“Oh,” Eva says, as surprised as I am.

“Gabriel, what are you doing here?” I say, flustered.

He smiles and enters my office as if it’s the most natural thing for him to do.

“And how did you know where to find me?” I’m talking too much but I can’t stop myself.

“You told me that last time we had dinner together,” he says.

Hearing him talk, you would not think that the dinner he’s talking about had been a complete disaster. My face tightens when I remember his parting shot.

That should cover the bill and a couple of diapers.

“I’ll be next door,” Eva says moving to the door.

Gabriel waits for the door to close. “May I sit down?”

“No.”

“Come on Vanessa don’t be like that. We have a child together,” Gabriel says.

I raise my eyebrows. “Fine sit down but make it fast. I’m busy.”

“Okay,” he says and glances around while sitting down. “This is a far cry from the nurse’s station you used to share with several others.”

“Get to the point, Gabriel,” I hissed. He rejected my daughter. That was not something I was going to ever forget.
