What am I saying?
Who’s to say that Axe and I end up together?
What did the last three days mean to him?
I had no idea how he felt and it was so nerve-wracking. On my end, I was falling ever more in love with Axel Walker by the moment. I had no idea what would happen to us back in “the real world” I mean, I lived in California and he lived in, well actually I had no idea where he lived. Did he even have a place in America he called home anymore? New York with his aunt? Back on his family’s ranch?
I was full of questions but I tried not to pry too much; I knew he wasn’t really supposed to be telling me about his missions and anything about the Elite Force Protectors. All I knew about my immediate future with Axel Walker was that he had to leave on a mission and it broke my heart. He of course couldn’t tell me any details but from the look on his face when he came back from his talk with his contact, it was clearly incredibly dangerous.
“What are you thinking about?” he asked as he draped the blanked over me and pulled my naked body into his arms, holding me close.
How could I tell him I was falling madly in love with him and could he please just skip to the part where he was a retired EFP or better yet, took some safe des
k job back in America?! Yeah, that sounds pretty insane! It’s only been three days!
“Um, nothing much,” I said as I turned over to face him. I had to gauge how he felt, “just thinking about how amazing the last three days have been.”
He kissed my forehead and pulled me even closer, “my beautiful California Girl, these have been the most incredible three days of my life.”
Oh thank god!
He continued, “it’s just too bad…”
Oh no.
“What’s too bad?” I asked, suddenly feeling worried.
“That you’re not ticklish,” Axe said with a deadpan tone.
“What are you talking about?” I blurted out. “I’m insanely ticklish!”
“Perfect!” he laughed and dug his fingers into my sides.
“I’m going to kill you!” I squealed as we wrestled playfully and kissed. “Seriously you have to stop!”
“Never!” he laughed as he kissed my neck and tickled me while I tried to escape.
We got so tangled in the sheets that Axe was eventually forced to stop tickling me. I caught my breath and turned to face him once more as we got back under the covers, “you are a very bad soldier!” I faux-scolded.
“Oh you have no idea,” he flashed that killer little half-smile and I felt myself falling even more in love with him.
“So show me, just how bad you can be…” I challenged him.
His smiled faded and he locked his wolf-life gaze on me. Without a word he flipped me on my back and pinned me down. It took my breath away and for a moment we stared into each other’s eyes. Then he slowly let his gaze fall to my naked chest and made his way to my breasts.
He let his tongue make tiny—insanely slow—gentle circles around my nipples and then softly licked and nibbled on the side of one breast as he skillfully parted my legs with just one hand. He took two fingers and teased me—running them up and down the inside of my thighs ever so softly—as though he was barely touching me.
My hips started writhing, begging him to go a little bit closer with every stroke of his fingertips. I couldn’t help it, my breathing started to get a little faster and I licked my lips in anticipation. He looked up at me with his piercing blue-grey eyes and smiled a sexy-as-hell smile. He loved to tease me, I had learned that over the last three days. He moved his fingers closer and closer…

“Please what?” he smiled again.
“You’re driving me crazy,” I purred. “You know what I want.”
