She went to Brett and wrapped her arms around him. “I love you. I’m so happy for you,” she told him.
He squeezed her hard. “Thanks Sky. I’m happy and terrified at the same time.” He let her go and glanced over his shoulder at Ramona and his son.
“You’ll be fine,” she told him.
“I will.”
“We are going home too,” Skylar told him. “Let us know if you need anything tomorrow.”
He kissed her temple. Then she leaned over and kissed her sister. “We’ll see you tomorrow,” Skylar informed her sister.
The couple had moved into a home between Luna and Skylar’s ranches. A small place that was a good starter home for them. They would all gather there tomorrow as a family to welcome James home.
In the hall, Skylar took Luka’s hand as they walked down the hall. Ava took his other hand. He gazed down on them both. He had his two girls. He was a very happy man.
