My muscles are screaming already from the little amount I’ve done, and I know it’s not smart to keep going. Hurting myself would hurt my team, and despite not wanting to look like a wimp in front of her, I’d never put those guys in danger.

“It seems like they know.”

“Know what?” I need her to say it for some reason instead of dancing around the topic she’s so willing to bring up again.

“About the threesome,” she says easily, no hint that the thought is distasteful in her tone.

“They do know.”

A long silence surrounds us, and she spends the drawn-out moment glaring at me.

“All of them?”

I nod. “Yeah.”

“And just how does a conversation like that start?”

I shrug, refusing to tell her that I blurted that I needed someone to fuck her with me.

“We needed a third person. I knew it had to be someone I trusted. I just asked.”

“Individually?”

“In the group. I didn’t see a point in wasting time. The guys are used to those type of requests.”

She looks away as if it bothers her to picture me involved in those situations. I can’t decide how that hint of jealousy makes me feel, but it ramps up my heart rate, nonetheless.

“You just said, looking for volunteers.”

“Yes.” I tilt my head to the side, trying to hide my smile.

“And Ug—Isaac agreed to help you?”

I shake my head, a huff of humor escaping my mouth at remembering just how eager they all were. Well, everyone except Boomer and Slick.

“Aro, Spade, and Ugly volunteered.”

Her eyes widen. “All of them?”

“Explain that look on your face. Are you interested in taking all of them?”

I mentioned passing her around before and she got off on the idea, but if she’s actually considering it, I may have to just cave and end this right now.

“No,” she snaps. “So you had your pick and you chose Isaac?”

I won’t tell her that Ugly was my last pick because I hate the way he watches her. It would disclose too much about the possession I’ve been trying to keep control of.

“We drew names,” I explain.

I didn’t think she could get any more offended, but she proves me wrong.

“And you wouldn’t have a problem with any of them?”

I have a fucking problem with all of them, but I’ll never confess it. That isn’t the game we’re playing.

“I trust every single one of them with my life. I knew any one of them would be able to give you the fantasy you’re looking for.”

She continues to stare at me like I’ve lost my mind.

“I wanted to be fair,” I explain. “Give each one of them an equal chance.”

She shakes her head, turning around to pace the room. This may be the moment she backs out, and although a part of me wants her to, I know that backing out is only going to lead to more problems for me in the future.

“Now it’s going to be weird around them. I didn’t want everyone knowing what our plans were.”

Your plans, I want to say, but I don’t.

“They aren’t going to gossip about you, Grace. You have nothing to worry about.”

“Nothing to worry about?” she snaps as she turns back around to face me, arms crossed over her chest.

Fuck, even her anger turns me on.

“Sitting around in a circle of four guys, talking about it to decide who gets picked is gossip.”

“Boomer and Slick were there, too,” I say just to try to get the upper hand.

She presses a finger to the temples on either side of her head. “Are you kidding me?”

“They aren’t going to speak about it.” I can’t honestly guarantee that, but I can be hopeful. “I can imagine there might be a little ribbing, a little jealousy from the guys who lost, but—”

“Stop talking,” she mutters as she crosses the room to take a seat on one of the other weight benches.

“If you’re so worried about it, I was thinking that heading to Denver to do the deed would be best. There’s a sex club there.”

“A sex club?” She huffs again, her head shaking as if she can’t believe what I’m saying. “Why leave the clubhouse? It seems everyone already knows. Maybe we should just do a live feed, and everyone can watch.”

“Does knowing people are watching you get fucked by two guys turn you on?”

“That sounds like a nightmare.”

“I still think the club is the best way to go.”

“Fine,” she says, standing and walking to the exit.

“I’ll make the arrangements.”

The door whispers closed as she leaves.

I hadn’t actually thought about Hale-ish until just now, but the idea that she’ll have over seven hours to change her mind during the drive there seems like a good idea.

If only it wasn’t the exact opposite of what I’ve convinced myself is the best outcome.

Chapter 30

Grace

“People are going to think we’ve disappeared,” I whisper, my back flat on the bed.
