Waiting in line at the bar for a gap to squeeze into, Myla stole a glance at her cell. She had ten minutes until Romeo was due, and boy, was she looking forward to that after the message he had sent her this morning. She was going to put him firmly in his place.

The man in front of her turned around sharply, and the two full pints he held connected with her, causing the beer to spill over onto her chest. “Oh, my god!” Myla gasped as the cold liquid seeped through her dress.

Quickly turning back and placing the pints on the bar, he grabbed some napkins and began wiping them over her chest. “I am sorry, so sorry,” he frantically apologized.

“Get your hands off me, you idiot,” she seethed, her face becoming twisted with annoyance.

“I’m sorry, but you shouldn’t have been standing so close to me, in all honesty.”

“And maybe you should watch what you are doing!” She growled back.

“Kai, what the fuck are you doing?” another voice asked as a dark-haired man came up alongside them.

“Nothing, Brody, nothing,” he mumbled and strode away. She gave the man named Brody, a dirty look, and headed towards the ladies’, desperately hoping to dry her dress under the hand dryer. After a quick powder of her nose she made her way back out to Luca. She came to a sudden standstill when she noted another couple were seated at their table.

“Can I help you?” Enquired the lady, now residing in her seat.

“Yes, I was here no less than five minutes ago, with a man, long dark hair?” She questioned as she glanced around the room.

“Oh, he left. Something about not feeling too good,” replied the man in Luca’s seat, “he offered us this table.”

Feeling agitated and annoyed at Lucas’s cut and run, Myla smiled politely and moved away from the table, taking up an empty seat back at the bar. She ordered a lemonade and waited for the last candidate to arrive. For him to arrive, Bloody Romeo.

Myla strummed her fingers absentmindedly on the bar top as she waited. Tonight, was a disaster. A grade A disaster. Why did I listen to Cass?

“Juliet?” A deep voice cut through her thoughts.

Sighing she turned around come face to face with one of the men from earlier, the man named Brody.

Oh shit! No!

Grabbing Kai’s arm, Brody yanked him towards them and smiled broadly. “Juliet, meet Romeo. Romeo, meet Juliet,” said Brody as their jaws dropped open and they rained daggers at each other. “Have fun, kids,” he drawled before making his escape towards the door.

“You?!” She gasped.

“You?!” He snarled.

CHAPTER SEVEN

“Brody! Brody!” Kai yelled, as his friends’ back conveniently disappeared. “I don’t believe this,” he muttered. He blew out a deep sigh in frustration.

“You? You are Romeo?” Myla asked incensed.

Splaying his arms out by his hips, he twirled around. “Yes.”

“Well, thanks for ruining my Versace dress. It reeks of beer.”

“You were stood right behind me, it was an accident, I did apologize, but it was ignored!” Kai snapped. Myla shifted on her seat, and pulled her lips into a sarcastic smile.

“Look, shall we just end this here? I had no intentions of taking this any further, and I especially had no designs on wanting to meet you. Let’s just call it a night,” Kai said.

Leaning her head towards the left, she pinched her eyes in his direction. “You had no designs to meet me? So, what was this morning’s message about, Christian?”

Rearing his head back with a gentle shake, he looked at her impassively. “I’ve no idea what you are talking about.”

“The message you replied to about meeting up? You called me Anastasia and yourself Christian? You also asked if I was bringing the whips and chains or should you,” she retorted with a raised eyebrow.

Holy hell, Fifty Shades of Grey! Kai’s face turned a pale shade of red and he drew his lips into a thin line. “That little shit,” he spat, when it dawned on him Brody had set him up. Gripping the edge of the bar, he lowered his head, his mind swam with all the things he would do to Brody when he got his hands on him.
