“Cass here, has been my date several times through Shots,” Brody beamed. He motioned to a seat and began talking ten to the dozen to Cass, ignoring everyone else around them.

“What are you wearing, Kai?” Myla managed to whisper.

“Don’t you like it? Isn’t this the dress code of Florida?” He asked turning back to look at her.

“We are going to Florida, not Hawaii or the Bahamas or any other exotic place that requires you to look like a tourist.” Myla growled.

Taking a step towards her he lifted her chin with his finger. “Do you want me to take it all off, Myla?” He asked. He began wiggling his hips playfully, his fingers undoing the remainder of his buttons. He smiled to himself when he noticed her cheeks turn a deep shade of crimson and she quickly diverted her eyes to the floor. “I didn’t think so, Capulet,” he whispered with a smirk.

“So, this is Myla then, the woman who has gotten herself completely wedged under your skin?” Josh asked with a deep chuckle. Kai wanted to knock him out cold. “Pleasure to meet you.” Josh added.

Myla nodded at him with a small smile, she caught the intimidating, stern glare that Kai had trained on Josh.

“Good Evening, passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 116A to Florida. We are inviting passengers to begin boarding. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Thank you.”

“Guess that’s us then, wifey. Are you ready to do this?” Kai asked, he tore his eyes away from Josh and rested them on Myla.

With a deep breath, Myla picked up her carry on and smiled. “I’m ready if you are? Let’s do this,” she said.

“Alrighty, have a great time babe,” Cass said. She engulfed her in a bone shattering hug. “I’ll see you in a week.”

After all the goodbyes were done, they ambled towards boarding when Cass’s voice bellowed out. “Oh, Myla, you forgot your muff buster.”

Shit. I hoped she hadn’t noticed. With a deep groan and scrunched up features, she turned towards Cass, walked over, and snatched it fiercely from her hands. “Bitch,” she muttered under her breath. Cass smirked at her.

“Muff buster?” Kai asked with a raised eyebrow and a lopsided grin when she made it back to his side.

“Don’t ask,” she replied dropping it into the nearest bin.

“Don’t forget to shave that vagina before doing the deed, Myla,” Cass shouted as the door closed behind them.

Myla froze on the spot. She didn’t just say that? One glance at Kai’s dark and heated stare in her direction told her that yes indeed, Cass did just say that.

Bloody bitch!

The flight had been cleared for takeoff. As it took a turn and leveled up on the runway, preparing for its ascent into the sky, Myla closed her eyes and began to hum as the vibrations of the engine started to rumble through her body.

“Are you okay?” She heard Kai lean in and ask.

“Mm mm.”

“You don’t look it, Myla.”

She felt the aircraft begin to move, gaining speed, and without thought, she clamped her left hand over Kai’s and squeezed when panic began to grip her body.

“You know, Juliet if you wanted to hold my hand, you only had to ask,” he murmured lowly.

“Just talk to me, Kai,” she growled through clenched teeth.

Sitting back in his seat, he sighed when he realized she didn’t travel well. Rubbing his free hand across the back of his neck, he thought long and hard about what to say. He needed to take her mind off the aircraft leaving the tarmac. “Okay, let’s talk about the muff buster. What exactly is that?”

Popping her eyes open she sat forward and glared at him. “Of all the things, you could talk to me about, you want to talk about a feather duster?”

“Err, no. I want to talk about the muff buster,” he said with a broad smile.
